"We've stayed at this hotel several times. Reasonably priced, a nice breakfast and local to where we visit family. A good stay."

"All felt very dated. Walls and floors all paper thin, could hear everything from folks waking at 6am, with the addition of construction work right outside the window at 7:30am. Rooms, whilst clean, were basic and tired, and far too warm with no ability to adjust temperature. Pay and display parking (with no guest discount) is a bit odd too. Not sure what grants this a 4*, but it certainly isn’t. Get what you pay for. "

"*Shocking condition and even worse parking scam - avoid at all costs!! I stayed at the go2 Orchard Gloucester Hotel on 9 January 2026 as an emergency stay because nothing else was available. I deeply regret it. The hotel condition was appalling: · The television was held together with celotape · The paintwork looked like it had been done by amateurs - patchy and poorly finished · Everything felt temporary and unprofessional · Honestly, it was the worst condition I have ever seen in a UK hotel. I was embarrassed to be there But worse than the condition was what happened next: I paid £8.00 for my stay and entered my registration at reception, as required. Weeks later, I received a Parking Charge Notice from Civil Enforcement Ltd claiming I had not paid. I immediately contacted the hotel. Staff told me on 19 January they had "applied regarding the parking ticket" and that it was "under process." I trusted them. During February, Civil Enforcement's own website showed "PCN not found" when I tried to view the ticket. I have dated screenshots proving this. But after the 28-day appeal window expired, the ticket suddenly reappeared. I can no longer appeal. The hotel has the power to cancel this immediately. They are the landowner. Instead, they have made excuses and failed to act. Verdict: A rundown hotel that doesn't care about its guests and uses a predatory parking company to harass them after they've already paid. Avoid at all costs."

"I was kept away by noisy guest in the hall until 1 am. My door (room 138) showed signs of having recently been kicked, the fan was covered in dust, the bed (two single beds jammed together was uncomfortable and there were holes in the wall, very different in appearance to that shown in the photos. The guy at reception was fine, when he was there. Cheap but not that cheap enough at EUR 69.34 for the night. I regret booking this hotel aed but you may have a better experience if you are late night shouting enthusiast with an affinity for grime."
