Nestled between the Great Dividing Range escarpment and Coffs Coast, this cozy town sits on the edge of ancient rainforests, rolling farmland and misty waterfalls.

Enjoy spectacular national parks, wild rivers and primeval forests on your visit to Dorrigo, a small town in the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales. Experience Dorrigo’s varied landscape of UNESCO World Heritage-listed rainforests and pristine waterways when you hike, kayak or ride a bike through the nature reserves. Tour around Dorrigo’s lush pastures and taste artisanal cheeses and fresh local produce from the region’s farms.

Plan an adventure to suit your tastes. Take a breathtaking scenic drive along Waterfall Way and stop off at various lookout points highlighting the majesty of the Northern Tablelands’ waterfalls, such as Dangar Falls and the Crystal Shower Falls. Travel east to see the Dorrigo Plateau plunging into the Gondwana rainforests in Dorrigo National Park. These ancient forests have remained unchanged for millennia and can be explored via interpretive walking trails. The town’s creeks and rivers are exciting destinations for kayaking and fishing. You might hook rainbow and brown trout in the pristine waters.

In the town center check out cafés and restaurants serving regional delights or enjoy traditional fare at the local pub and bakery.
