"From the moment we arrived everyone made us feel like family. We were welcomed by Louis the driver of the golf carts and he immediately set the tone for the trip with his energy and enthusiasm. We were then introduced to our butler Franklin who couldn’t have been more helpful and answered all of our questions and concerns quickly without ever making us feel like a burden. He was able to address all of our needs almost immediately. It was honestly impressive considering it’s a large hotel with many guests to answer to. Daniel at the family selection pool was kind and so willing to help, going out of his way often to make sure our trip was as relaxing and comfortable as possible. And Chanel at the bar outside of bamboo was honestly the best bartender I’ve ever met and made the most amazing drinks. He was even so kind and made come back the next day for a ‘surprise’. Turned out he bought our kids each a small toy as a present. Constantino made check out a breeze. Our room was kept beautiful by housekeeping who would even leave small treats. The restaurants were great. We loved the nest, the hibachi, es niu, and la paisana. We will definitely be back!"

"The hotel and staff were amazing. The staff was very kind and tended to all our needs. The hotel and suites are beautiful. Caesar, our butler, was the best. The hospitality alone is a 5 star! The only negative was the beach vendors. We tried to lay out and enjoy the ocean but the vendors become overwhelming after a while. A pool close to the beach would have been nice, but not an option."

Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino - All Inclusive

"GREAT if you are looking for: - Amazing pools. Visit Lopesan Splash Cove (neighboring resort pool) for the most impressive pool with waterfalls that I have ever seen! - Spacious rooms with modern, lovely decor. Beautiful groundskeeping and an upscale, clean resort. - Friendly staff and awesome food with fantastic dining experiences. Pick the Goldfish for lunch and get the fresh grilled fish. For dinner, pick the Italian, Hibachi and the steakhouse (get the ribeye). JUST OKAY, if you are looking for: - The best drinks, because with the exception of the pina coladas, they taste like mixes and not real juice or fruit. Also ask for the better alcohol to be used. - The casino, The Valley (American bar), ice cream/coffee shops were not worth going back to IMO. NOT SO GREAT, if you are looking for: - A serene beach view, instead you’ll get a bunch of boats parked just off shore, all day, everyday. - A quiet beach lounge experience, instead you’ll get hassled for excursions, braids, henna and jewelry. Do your research on the excursions and make sure they actually take you to snorkel area they say they are taking you to. (FYI - We booked with a beach vendor who had a permit to be onsite) - Beautiful blue water, instead this time of year you’ll get brown water with lots of sargassum. You’ll have to visit the other side of the island or take an excursion to Saona island. Just be prepared to do that with hundreds of other people. The water their is beautiful though!"

Ocean El Faro Resort - All Inclusive

"I liked that they have enough amenities for the kids and the entire family. I particularly loved the very relaxing vibes of the entire place and the hammocks everywhere. My most favorite attraction though was the tree swing by the beach and the lazy river was a big hit with my kids. Another big hit with the kids was the Jelly playhouse. They offered a lot of activities and kept the kids entertained and safe while mommy and daddy enjoyed a dip in the pool or a romantic lunch. We’ll definitely go back again! Hector Matos was our guide during our stay and he was very gentle and kind. He took the time to answer all of our questions through texts and helped us make reservations to restaurants and other places/activities when needed."
