"Just a beautiful place to stay"

"We had a lovely stay at Hay Barn Holiday Cottage and really enjoyed the peaceful location and beautiful surroundings. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and well situated for exploring the area, and parking was easy and convenient.The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 was that the communication felt minimal during the stay, as we only received the key details before arrival. We also felt the online listing could have been a little clearer regarding how close the accommodation is to the owners’ property. In addition, we missed some of the small welcoming touches we’ve experienced at other holiday cottages, such as milk and eggs on arrival, particularly considering the price point.Overall though, we had a relaxing stay and would still recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet countryside break."

"What an amazing place to stay. The accommodation had everything we needed and was clean and welcoming and the views were on another level! The location was perfect for exploring the Peak District and we managed to fit so much into just 2 days. The host Jo was kind and helpful and we would definitely recommend staying here."

"We loved our stayed in this historic property. Some of the rooms were cleaner than others and some areas looked a little run down, for us, this added to the atmosphere but other guests may expect more manicured gardens etc. We were impressed with the quantities of tea, coffee, shower gel etc that were available for our use. The host was very friendly and helpful. Once we had settled in she kept in the background so we really felt that we had the place to ourselves."

"Cottage was perfect for our break in the peaks. Clean throughout, everything we needed in the kitchen. Very cosy lounge with very comfy sofa and chair. Heating set to perfection.Lovely hot shower and huge bathroom. Peace and quiet. Walks straight from the door. Pollys Cottage across the road for ice cream and pasties. Loved listening to the birds and river from our bedroom which had a comfy bed and soft linen. Host replied quickly on booking and sent information about stay through with instructions. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable long weekend in a beautiful location."

"We had a great stay at Manor Guest house, it is a good location, with a large car park round the back of the building. Breakfast was fresh with a good selection of continental and cooked food, juice and hot drinks. Staff were excellent, and really helpful. We plan to stay again. "

"Wonderful nights stay with twilight spa, evening meal, four poster bedroom and breakfast. Extremely clean, great staff the food was delicious, small spa but well set out not over crowded absolutely perfect from start to finish."
