Booked this as it was a very reasonable price as I was going to Alton towers the next day. Arrived and was stunned by the building and the views. Checked in and the staff were lovely and very friendly and welcoming.
Next day for up and had breakfast, a freshly cooked English breakfast with cereals and pastries included. Overall if I am ever in the area again I will be staying here.
Lovely hotel, we arrived around 9:30pm, we was checked in very quickly and shown straight to our room. We were staying to head to Alton towers the next day, we had a lovely breakfast before we left and was 10 minute drive away from Alton towers. A lovely stay.

Staff were friendly. Breakfast was fine. Dinner was ok. Overall a clean, no thrills, friendly, value for money hotel
Arrived around 9pm, swiftly checked in and shown to our room, which was a twin room. Room was spotlessly clean and well appointed.
We enjoyed a couple of pints down by the fire at the bar, which is a nice relaxing area, I’d definitely recommend you spend an hour or so down there.
Breakfast was a standard continental, ie toast, bagels, cheese/prosciutto etc, all nice and served with fresh coffee so that’s a thumbs up from me.
Less than a 5 minute drive to Alton Towers so I’ll be sure to use them again next time I’m in the area.
Staff were very friendly, food was nice. We are very disappointed with our room. Very thin walls, could hear everything from adjoining rooms which woke us up. Wasn't the cleanest place, bugs on windowsills.
Our view was a blue shipping container so very disappointing over all.
Beautiful hotel run by lovely people who made me and my boyfriend feel very welcome. Good breakfast provided in the morning, a bar and amazing grounds with beautiful views. It was a lovely weekend thank you :)
Greeted by the wonderful staff and had a great experience, I will be back to play golf and stay over

Could be so much better.
.1 night stay pleasant staff but room not the cleanest especially toilet area. Dust on tiles and cobwebs 🕸 Don’t know when last thoroughly cleaned but it wasn’t recent. Nice old house in a nice area with scenic views. I believe they are investing in the property recently changed hands thou not 100% sure. Probably nicer cheaper options elsewhere.
Lovely drive though the country side up to this cute historic home. The nicest friendliest checkin I’ve had in a long time and had my bags carried to my room! The room is fairly basic but clean and tidy w decent decor. Could do w somewhere to put ur suitcase and a bench for toiletries in the bathroom but the bed was comfy and the linen crisp.
It was warm and quiet and I had a deep sleep.
I ate in my room and the food was homey and delicious. The lasagne and crumble were not pretty but so so good!
Had the continental and it was fine but next time I’m trying the cooked options. No hot choc which is weird but I always travel w some cos I’m just like that.
The lack of gym is conpensated as its within a 18 hole golf course which affords a great option for exercise and long ranting views of the area.
I stay away for work a lot and this is one of the nicest experiences I’ve had. Special mention for the male staff member who was just so lovely!
We chose this hotel because it is close to Alton Towers. We were travelling with a 4 year old and were made very welcome.
The staff were very friendly and the hotel is very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel. Beautiful views.
Great rooms, really friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was incredible. Thank you.
Exceptional. Location is minutes form Alton towers and idyllic place. The Hall has a new feel to it and the room was spacious and incredibly clean. The food was exceptional as well - probably underpriced frankly which is unusual these days and the breakfast included which is continental is one of the best I have had in the UK. They use all local farmers ingredients and you can really taste it. This is just a dream property for a weekend off, visiting local business and they also have a conference room so great for running meeting and trainings.
We booked Whiston Hall as we were travelling to Alton Towers the following day. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by such friendly staff that really made you feel at home. The hotel is beautiful, breakfast was lovely and it is only a short drive to Alton Towers. We would definitely recommend.
