"The staff and the breakfast were amazing however the rooms have no shampoo (body wash is not going to do it for me), no lotion, no tissues and no phone. No phone makes it extremely difficult for overseas visitors to contact reception. Even the charming lady on reception who confirmed that these amenities were not offered in the hotel states that they were a budget hotel ‘but maybe not - we are quite expensive’. "
"We stayed in the apartment which was really spacious, it is a fabulous house with well thought out decor.
Cleanliness was second to none, so if that's what concerns you when travelling, then Eagle house is for you its spotless.
Andy and Helen are great hosts and very welcoming.
The town is just a short walk with some lovely pubs and restaurants to choose from.
Overall a fabulous stay."

"We stayed at the Moat House on our way up north and again on our way back south. Both times were a great experience. The rooms are very comfortable with good showers - all our requests were catered to. My husband left his electric shaver behind and they are sending it back to us.
We were not looking for formal dining in the main restaurant and The Bar Lounge menu turned out to be very good - special mention on the Mackerel Rillettes starter!! Head Chef James Cracknell was sent our grateful thanks for a delicious dish. Breakfast was also very good - it's not easy to get good scrambled eggs at a buffet, but we did - both times. Can highly recommend the hotel and restaurant - we hope to return! "

10/10 Excellent
"Amazing venue. Child and dog friendly. Both host and caretaker Mandy were lovely. Was given directions and gate code prior to stay. Excellent facilities including large kitchen. Grounds are lovely with moat running around castle."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crewe Hall Hotel and would happily return again if we have reason to stay near Crewe in the future. The building and grounds are impressive and there's plenty of parking. The buffet breakfast was very good and thanks largely to a wedding reception taking place at the same time as our stay, we were upgraded at no additional cost to a lovely room in the main building."
"I booked a compact room usually these are very small but comfy. This was downstairs with only 1 other room close by. Spacious quiet and comfortable. Also cool which was nice as its unusually warm in Buxton. The piano playing in the lobby is a lovely touch "
"We stayed recently for 2 nights as a family of 4 (2 adults, 1 child and 1 baby). The room was small but comfortable and had all the amenities we required. The breakfast was delicious with a great range of food choices. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Hotel location was good and easy to find. Plenty of parking spaces outside. "
"We found the staff very freindly and helpful.
The room was great and we had requested a twin room which they were able to do for us.
The food in the restaurant was excellent and well presented.
We'll definitely be coming again, thank you,
Terry."
