The room was very clean , staff were very friendly. Only disappointment was total lack of drawers and very little wardrobe space. Geared more to 1-2 night stays and we were there for 6. Great food and really lovely setting
Lovely hotel well presented in all area's. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ample parking in front of hotel

Stunning location, great staff and very much recommended
Easy parking outside the hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is varied both buffet and menu. The whole hotel is very clean.
We book this hotel as a break from driving on the M6. The staff are helpful and friendly, the hotel is very clean, the evening meals are exemplary and reasonably priced. The house and grounds are beautiful. A one night stay can feel like a holiday.
Excellent room and staff.
Reasonable breakfast.
Dinner was disappointing and rather expensive for the quality of food received

Liked: Cleanliness
We had a comfortable stay at Upper House and slept well. Breakfast was enjoyable, and we also had dinner during our visit, the food was lovely and a real highlight.
However, the room cleanliness was fairly basic and could be improved. The staff were polite but didn’t come across as particularly warm or welcoming. The property itself feels quite dated and would benefit from modernisation, as it seems to have remained largely unchanged for many years.
It’s also worth noting that the venue hosts weddings, which means you can sometimes feel like you’re part of the event as a guest. While we were fortunate to stay on the opposite side this time, rooms closer to the celebrations, especially those above could experience noise that may affect sleep.
