Top Mexico and Central America Hotel Reviews

Hotel Riu Cancun - Adults Only - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"Great experience for a solo birthday trip"

Hotel Riu Palace Las Americas - Adults Only- All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"Everything was perfect. If there’s only one thing I would improve on would be the Sakura menu. I would have a local Japanese person from Kyoto or Tokyo to evaluate the overall menu. I have worked directly with Japanese people for 30 years and been to Japan many times. Sakura is not true Japanese cultural food. There was only one dessert on menu and it was noodles, which isn’t even classified as desert. There is problem with Sakura. The staff was great, helpful, but ownership needs to understand what Japanese food really is and none of the dishes has rice with it. The teppanyaki preparation was also not right, basically it was a steak cut into strips. I won’t revisit Sakura unless serious changes happen with the menu and they understand what true Japanese food should be like. Sakura is basically a mix of Chinese, Japanese and Mexican food. The dumplings were not very high quality, tasted like they were out of a package from local food market. The dumplings didn’t taste like handmade special dumplings. Anyway, 4 out of the 5 people in my group are Asian and lived in Japan for many years, 2 of them saw the food and menu and got up and left and didn’t even eat there."

Hotel Fontan Reforma Centro Histórico

8/10 Good

"Hotel was clean and walking distance to local points of interest such as El Palacio de Las Bellas Artes, and the Zocalo. Terrace gets rented out for private events. We tried going up for drinks on 2 separate nights only to be turned away because it was rented for a private party. We ordered food at the restaurant and chose not to eat it. It was awful. We should have just walked to a near by restaurant or simply gotten food from a street vendor. It would have been cheaper and consumable. If your looking for a clean place to stay within walking distance to the historic center than this is a good choice. If you want to use hotel amenities during your stay there are better options nearby."

Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

Sheraton Maria Isabel Mexico City Reforma

10/10 Excellent

"Stayed here for the dia de Los muertos this weekend and I must say first time at a Sheraton hotel. The experience and staff went above and beyond my expectations. I did arrive 6am in the morning and my check in wasn't available until 3pm. However, I was able to check my luggage in and go explore for a bit and have breakfast. Around 11am I checked to see if they had my room ready and in fact they were able to get me in sooner. The hotel was close to everything me and my wife needed and the parade was right outside our hotel which was a plus. Mind you it was a very busy weekend with the events going on but nonetheless had no issues. It was my first time in Mexico City and I will be returning again to this hotel. Also I would like the hotel to recognize 3 staff members of the hotel during my stay. Justil, Gustavo and Daniel. They worked in the bar and lounge and they're level of service is beyond anything I have experienced especially here in the states. They are a true representation of what customer service and customer satisfaction is about when it comes to them. I visited and stayed in the lounge for drinks and food and they went above and beyond. They made my feel welcomed and comfortable. So for any of you reading this made sure you ask for either of those 3 they will not disappoint and they are very attention to detail. They will not forget you even when they see hundreds of people a day. Is management sees this review please let them know me and my wife miss them"
