"The location was perfect for attending l'Marathon des vins de Blaye, accessing the restaurants and shops area, and getting taxis. The host was very accommodating and their entry/exit instructions were clear, as a beginning French learner I was able to understand the expectations. The photos do not show that the toilet is in a "closet" near the front door but sink and shower are in the far corner, so the bathroom situation is a little inconvenient. While you definitely need a car for transport, the house is ideally located for quiet and rest in the middle of a tiny village surrounded by vineyards. However, you have to keep in mind that there are very few footpaths around and you have to walk on the normal roads if you feel like exploring the area afoot.
