"Great property, great service. Food was under-seasoned but otherwise very good. Room (junior suite) was fantastic with private thermal pool. The only big negative was a horrible mattress. It was like sleeping on cement floor. I have been in severe pain the whole vacation as a result. Front desk and housekeeping did not provide a solution saying the mattresses are brand new. No softer mattress or topper available. No attempt to fix the issue. "

"Very nice staff. Small grounds with great views of Volcano. Boutique size place, maybe only 10 rooms and nice but small pool deck and 4 hot springs. Great breakfast, very convenient in and out location with a car. Not a fancy big resort place but was absolutely fine and budget friendly, would recommend no problem. "This place is pretty special. It is a small, low key resort. My son wanted to stay close to the pool, so we stayed in a standard room. The room wasn't great. The beds were hard, it could use a refresh, the air conditioner was loud, and there was no soundproofing. If we had picked one of the bungalows or treehouses, I likely would have given the place 5 stars. It is a nice alternative away from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna but still close to lots of attractions. "
