Great stay, Really enjoyed the lovely hot springs on the property, as well as the garden and lots of animals on the property (farm style)- kids loved it. Nice meals too at the local restaurant/breakfasts.

This is our second stay at this hotel. We appreciate the kid-friendly activities, such as visiting the onsite farm and vegetable garden. We love the hot springs and enjoy walking around the hotel, which features a large variety of plants and small animals. During our visit, it was the rainy season, making it difficult to keep our clothes dry. It would be beneficial if the hotel could provide a drying machine for guests. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The grounds were spectacular, lush, and beautifully maintained, making it a pleasure to explore. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot springs, the delicious breakfast each morning, and watching the beautiful birds visit the feeders. The location was also perfect, with easy access to all the nearby activities. We would happily stay here again!

Wonderful stay at this hotel! Perfect view of Arenal volcano. On site they have a farm where kids can milk cows, have a small horse back ride and gather eggs from the hen house daily. The staff was incredibly helpful with whatever we needed. On the property are 4 hot spring pools to enjoy! Very safe property I let my 13 year old wander and explore. We also tried the on property spa and got massages, it was rustic but an excellent treatment

The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and feels like an oasis in La Fortuna. The staff was so nice and helpful. They helped book all our tours, they even prepared us breakfast to go when we left early on our departure day. The property is so well kept and the hot springs are great to relax in after exploring and hiking. The restaurant on site has delicious food. This hotel and the staff helped make our trip so memorable.

Wonderful hotel in every way. The staff was always friendly and helpful, included breakfast was fresh and made-to-order and used eggs from their own farm on the property. Spa was relaxing, the on-site hot springs were relaxing, and everything we ate was delicious.

One of the best places we have stayed in. We are a family of four. We had a lot of fun at the place. They have multiple hot springs in the property. The property is over looking the volcano. Staff were super friendly and hospitable. Ww will definitely go back.

Nicely situated a short drive from La Fortuna and the Arenal volcano park. The on-grounds farm was a nice extra. Great variety of pools, hot springs, and jacuzi. Morning breakfasts had nice variety. Staff was wonderful.

El Silencio, was outstanding. The staff was great, (counter check in staff could use some work) but the restaurant, bar, outside staff were all excellent. The hot springs exceptional. The resident sloth we enjoyed along with the mini horses, basically the working farm. We did have to get used to the food (not culture wise we are Hispanic) what was offered and how it was offered. after ordering a couple time we figured it out and all was delicious. The location was just out of Fortuna just enough. a few notes. Each hotel offers a “card” for a towel , if you lose the card or lose the towel you are charged $20, losing the card… $20 seriously, this must be a Costa Rica thing as it was the same in a resort we stayed in Jaco. We did not take it and used our own towels, that’s something to be aware of. The farm/small ranch, we did not know El silencio is a working small farm/ranch mini horses, pig, chickens, pheasant. in the mornings the mini horses are let out to graze along with the pig and chickens. ALL this is great EXCEPT, you all know what chickens/roostes do at 4,5&6 am, they CROW LOUDLY. Even with the crowing roosters, we would definitely stay at El Silencio again. Have we could have stayed more nights we would have, we booked in Jaco on a split vacation.
