But overall the staff were very accommodating and made it even more special celebration with a beautiful and tasty cake, champagne, and balloons with their birthday package. "We loved our stay in Varenna! The host gave excellent directions on how to access the apartment. We brought a car and were able to park in the nearby public parking lot. Walking to the place involved a short steep downhill on cobblestones and several flights of stairs to the apartment, so that is good to know if you have physical limitations. But, we loved it and would go back!"

Our room was very clean and very comfortable with lots of amenities that made for a very nice stay we had a balcony with the most amazing view. All the staff were cheerful and very professional. We ate many of our dinners at the Victoria Grill. The menu offered many choices and the food was of high quality. Service was also top notch. I would highly recommend this hotel for its central location on Lake Como."

"Communication with Liz was quick and she answered all our questions quickly. The house was easy to find and we could walk everywhere. The numbers for taxi provided made it easier on checkout day to pick us up and take us to the train station. I would recommend that for checking in but we managed ok. The bedrooms are large and we had plenty of room. "
