"Beautiful accommodations at the Arenal Volcano just outside downtown La Fortuna. The location is perfect. The grounds are incredible. The rooms are very charming. The included breakfast was also a nice touch (limited menu but everything is cooked to order plus fruit, juices, coffee, etc). The staff are astounding and super helpful. There was some mildew in the bathroom and the water pressure is very high, but otherwise the bathroom was very well kept."

"The property setting is absolutely gorgeous with lush tropical landscaping and an incredible view of Arenal Volcano. Our room was outstanding. Large and clean and comfortable with a huge two person jacuzzi and a private patio with table chairs and hammock. The staff was friendly, polite and accommodating. The breakfast included was a lavish and delicious buffet in a beautiful restaurant with a perfect view of the volcano. Loved it. "

"Hot springs are the highlight. Restaurant is great for breakfast. Not so much for the dinner. They try to create visually appealing dishes and somewhat succeed, but fall short in flavor. Add to that the cost similar to eating out in New York City and it will make no sense. There are plenty of restaurants in the town. It's safe to drive at night. Lots of people out. Very lively. "

"Great property, great service. Food was under-seasoned but otherwise very good. Room (junior suite) was fantastic with private thermal pool. The only big negative was a horrible mattress. It was like sleeping on cement floor. I have been in severe pain the whole vacation as a result. Front desk and housekeeping did not provide a solution saying the mattresses are brand new. No softer mattress or topper available. No attempt to fix the issue. "
