Just tucked away enough to feel like a private oasis but an easy and quick drive into Amboise, which was a perfect home base for exploring the rest of the Loire. "Wonderful characterful property with amazing artworks throughout and in the beautiful grounds. Lovely swimming pool. Kitchen fully equipped with plenty of room but we sat outside to eat all the time next to the wonderful smelling lavender plants. Our host could not have been nicer or more helpful especially when one of our party was unwell. I cannot recommend enough. There is a Le Relais restaurant around 5 min walk which is cheap and good for a very relaxed unfussy lunch and lots of very good restaurants a short drive away. Again if you want a wonderful relaxed place to stay with a superb host this property is perfect. "

"We had two rooms, each with a sleeping area, nicely-furnished sitting area, and large bathroom--all this for an unbelievable reasonable rate. The dining room is beautiful. The breakfast, was outstanding and reasonably priced. We did not have dinner here. The front desk staff and dining room staff were extraordinarily helpful and capable."
