Truly one of the most special places in the world, no place like it. Incredible setting, delicious food and top attention to detail. Patrick and Lamla (spelling?) were terrific and looked after us like family, even driving out to buy me some zamaleks when the hotel didnt stock it. Rooms are spotless and attention to detail terrif. Chef's Warehouse restaurant is a must.
This was our second visit in a year and cannot wait to come back again. Very highly recommend it.
Fabulous location. Excellent staff. Great welcome. Well appointed and v spacious room that was clean in all the important places. A little grubby in places cleaned less frequently. Very good shared spaces. Restaurant 8.5/10. Some courses excellent but a chewy bit of tuna not good and it’s very noisy when busy. Would stay again.
I liked very much the the unique location straight at the ocean….listening to the waves… enjoying excellent food and service…. And the sundown every evening was amazing
Beautiful property in an amazing setting but service is chaotic and the hotel is not well run, which was disappointing for the price. The restaurant is well worth a visit and food and service there is very good.
We spent our anniversary here and we enjoyed every minute. Special thanks to Jonathan, Patrick, Lamla and Sam to have made it a remarkable experience for us. We had one of the most beautiful sunsets. The location is unique. The whole team is going the extra mile to make you happy. Thank you so much!
The staff were always checking in and making sure your stay was going well. The chef and kitchen were always willing to cook us something other than the set menus. Just know parking here is quite different. You park at the top of the mountain and then shuttles take you up and down to get to the parking lot. It is quite tight and steep. The views are amazing and the room was great. Turn down service every night. We hit the taxi strike which really hampered us seeing things because no shops open. But the did a great job monitoring the situation and we finally got the airport on the last day of the stay safely. Amazing property, will return.
Nestled at the foot of Chapman's Peak, Tintswalo Atlantic isn't just a hotel; it's an experience that redefines coastal luxury.
From the moment we arrived, the breathtaking panorama of Hout Bay, captivates your senses. The waves crashing against the rocks below creates an immediate sense of tranquility and escape.
What truly sets Tintswalo Atlantic apart is its unparalleled location. Each exquisitely designed suite, named after a famous island, boasts a private balcony that seems to hover directly above the churning Atlantic.
The attention to detail extends far beyond the views. The interiors are a harmonious blend of sophisticated comfort and nautical charm, with plush furnishings, thoughtful amenities, and unique touches that reflect the character of each island inspiration.
The service is impeccable – attentive yet unobtrusive, with a genuine warmth that makes you feel like a cherished guest rather than just a room number. At the Spa I experienced one of the best massages ever.
Dining at Tintswalo is an event in itself. The cuisine is a celebration of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, expertly prepared and beautifully presented.
Tintswalo Atlantic is more than just a place to stay; it's a sanctuary for the soul and created an unforgettable escape that will linger long after we've left.
The sea views are spectacular, from the room and from the common areas. Service is impeccable. The restaurant is one of the best in SA. This is a unique experience not to be missed. Best for one or two nights, not more.
We could not have been more delighted with our week long stay!! The staff was attentive and friendly, the food & drinks were terrific, and the actual hotel is unique with lots of character. The location is far enough away from the hustle/bustle but close enough to all the popular spots to visit. Highly recommend!!
Beautiful surroundings but not much to do around. The staff is very attentive but don’t leave you alone- they mean well but knocking on our door for 45 seconds and calling my name when we don’t answer (we were taking a bath) is just out of this world. We also felt pressure to eat on the property even though wanted to discover the harbor.. everyone means well but i think some training on 5 star hotel etiquette would be helpful.
This is one of the best stays I have ever had. From the minute we arrived the staff were friendly and genuinely interested in making sure we were happy. None of the usual subservient, rehearsed friendliness that you usually get from 5-star hotels - this hotel was genuine, with lovely owners and staff - and simply exceeded our expectations. Huge, high quality breakfast. A wonderful four course dinner, locally sourced and crafted by a talented chef. Great wine list and all drinks are at a very reasonable price much like any bar. No big 5-star premium here - enjoy the local wine selection and have drinks before dinner on the balcony overlooking the sunset. We spent two idyllic days here, listening to the waves and watching the seals. You can sleep at night with the balcony doors open and wake up with the sun. If you can afford the price then you would be mad not to try it out. It is worth every penny!
