Would definitely return

Although we booked Sweet Orange, we actually ended up staying in Sweet Olive which was delightful. However I did see Sweet Orange for a bit and it was very pretty, comfortable and the staff were very helpful.

Whenever we are passing through cape town we always stay in sea point at the sweet guesthouses. Great location between the city and the sea, lots of places to eat, great staff and an awesome breakfast

Very unique guesthouse - well decorated, while also being spacious and comfortable. Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are clean although my bathroom was in need of some repairs to the shower doors. Great breakfast, and I really like the drinks and snacks available at a reasonable cost on the honor system.

Nice stay near sea and town

Restaurants very close and sea promenade about 8 min. Also possible to walk into city and waterfront or take bus from there. Breakfast was made very nice and cosy kitchen and garden. Room was ok but unfortunately no air condition and in the studio the backyard was dusty. The price for the baby bed was also highly overrated.

Schönes Guesthouse und tolle Frühstücksauswahl

Das Guesthouse hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es war ruhig und man konnte leicht zu Fuß zur Promenade gehen. Außerdem war eine Haltestelle für den Hop-on-Hop-off-Bus in der Nähe. Zum Strand könnte man allerdings nicht laufen (es so den man läuft sehr lange). Das Zimmer war hübsch gestaltet, aber ziemlich warm. Der Pool war winzig. Nicht viel größer als ein Whirlpool und zum Schwimmen zu klein. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Große Auswahl, auf Bestellung warmes Essen. Insgesamt hat es uns dort sehr gut gefallen.

Although the rooms have double doors for sound proofing the wooden floors does not help if late comers or early leavers walk like elephants in the passage and the staff can also try and be a little considerate with this problem.

Gut und Preiswert

Ein typisches Bed and Breakfast Guesthouse, bestens geeignet wenn man preisbewusst wohnen will und nicht 24 Stunden die Hotelbar besuchen will oder auf nichtsnützige Extras wie Concierge Wert legt. Lage des Guesthouses war sehr gut, in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, dennoch alle täglichen Bedürfnisse erreichbar (Geldautomat, Supermarkt, Restaurants, Post). Mit dem CitiBus ist das Einkaufszentrum V&A bequem zu erreichen, Bus Stop ist in Fußdistanz, oder: RedTourHopOnHopOff Bus Line für Stadtrundfahrten. Die Uferpromenade für Spaziergänge oder eindrucksvolle Fotos ist auch gleich "nebenan". Die Gegend "Sea Point" ist auch sicher, auch nachts.

Good location but noisy

With this place having received quite positive reviews upon my booking we were disappointed to not experience it in the same fashion. It is a beautiful old house with loads of character and reception was friendly. Unfortunately the old house with its beautiful old wooden floors also meant it was a very noisy hotel. We were able to hear everyone come and go 24/7! Not great if you planning on running the two oceans ultra marathon the next day! There was no DSTV, our shower leaked and bedding was ripped. Street parking only. Will regretfully not go back or recommend.

Vi følte os rigtigt godt modtaget på Orange Guest House, personalet var venlige og hjælpsomme. I første omgang var vi lidt skuffede over at skulle være i en studiolejlighed rundt om hjørnet og ikke på selve Sweet Orange, men det fungerede nu fint, Vi havde fuld adgang til fællesområderne på Orange Guest House. Sightseeing-busserne holder 10 min. gang fra hotellet. Morgenmaden var fantastisk og blev smukt serveret i gårdhaven. Vi kommer gerne igen og anbefaler gerne stedet.

Für junge Leute geeignet.

Es ist ein kleines altes Stadthaus in Sea Point mit Holzböcken und 3 Schlafzimmern. Es quietscht und zischt egal um welche Uhrzeit. 2 von den Zimmern sind zur Straße hin und das andere zum Garten. Das Personal fängt sehr ruh an zu arbeiten und ohne Rücksicht auf anderen Gästen wird laut gesprochen, gekehrt, angeschrien mitten im Flur ( auch von anderen Gästen ist die rede) . Es ist sehr laut. Für Studenten und junge Leute sehr geeignet. Alle anderen würde ich etwas anderes empfehlen.

Ocean View

We were upgraded from Sweet Orange to Ocean View, they are owned by the same person. The staff and manager especially were very helpful and friendly. Very comfy and homely feel, and extremely clean. I would stay there again and highly recommend it.

B&B seapoint- close to sea point promenade

Really close to sea point promenade whihc is great for running. Also close to V&A waterfront. great vibe, had a warm welcome with info on what to do in area. Breakfast was a great optional extra, and recommend you try it at least once.

Traum-Guesthouse um Kapstadt zu erobern

Dieses Guesthouse war einfach nur wunderschön. Die Zimmer waren sauber und wirklich sehr individuell eingerichtet. In der Küche und im Garten war es, als wäre man bei jemanden zu Besuch. Es kam kein Hotelgefühl auf. Alles war sehr familiär und relaxt. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett. Und das absolute Highlight war das Frühstück. Frische deutsche Brötchen, Wurst von einem schweizer Metzger, frischer Obstsalat, das perfekte weich gekochte Ei und jeden Morgen eine kleine Überraschung, wie frische Pancakes, Muffins oder Bananen-Milchshake. Natürlich alles selbst gemacht. Ich würde wieder dort hingehen, wenn ich nach Kapstadt ginge. Man erreicht die Stadt sehr gut mit dem Bus oder per Sammeltaxi. Die Umgebung ist belebt, aber nicht gefährlich. Es gibt ein sehr gutes Restaurant gleich um die Ecke (La Boheme). Das Meer ist sehr nah. Ich war sehr begeistert! Dieses Guesthouse ist einfach sein Geld wert.

Friendly and Hospitable oh and clean!

I found this hotel to be a great value. I attended the World Cup and the place was full (they have 4 rooms) but outside of that the experience was great. Very clean place and very nice and helpful staff!! It's close to a lot of places but far enough where you can have a nice and quiet sleep. I would not hesitate to come here again and/or tell my friends about it.
