Upon my arrival, I was welcomed by Roné and her infectious smile. All the common areas are beautifully furnished and you feel as if you entered your home away from home. The sun terrace by the pool, with its loungers, is lovely and sheltered, and pool towels are readily available. The honesty bar is well priced, with a great variety to choose from. Nazima and Roné — the breakfast, both the hot and cold parts, was absolutely scrumptious! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, equipped with both an air-conditioner and a ceiling fan. I especially enjoyed soaking in the deep bath after my outing to the beach. My room had a view of Lion’s Head. All the staff, including George the gardener, are friendly and helpful. Gary, you truly own a gem!

Für einen Aufenthalt in Kapstadt absolut zu empfehlen! Die Unterkunft liegt im sicheren Sea Point Quartier, Restaurants sind zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Zimmer haben eine gute Grösse, sind komplett eingerichtet und sauber. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Frühstück ist gut und vielfälltig, das WLAN funktioniert gut, private Parkplätze hat es auch.

Wir haben uns im Sundown Manor sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Besitzer und seine Angestellte sind sehr liebenswerte Personen. Da wir eine Sonnenaufgangswanderung auf den Tafelberg unternommen haben, waren wir nicht rechtzeitig zum Frühstück zurück. Es war kein Problem, dass wir dann später frühstücken konnten. Nochmals vielen lieben Dank dafür! Das Zimmer war sehr groß, gepflegt und sauber und hatte alles was man braucht. Die Unterkunft war der perfekte Einstieg in unseren Urlaub. Die Atmosphäre im Guesthouse war sehr familiär und man kommt sehr schnell mit den anderen Gästen ins Gespräch. Die Umgebung ist für Kapstadter Verhältnisse sehr sicher und man auch abends noch bedenkenlos zu Fuß zum Bekannten Mojo Market gehen. Es gibt auch einen tollen Supermarkt in der unmittelbaren Umgebung und die Laufstrecke zwei Blocks weiter an der Promenade ist ein Highlight! Wir können Sundown Manor nur empfehlen.

So thankful for the help

The staff went above and beyond in helping us. We had some flight delays and needed some taxis booked. The manor is so adorable, the location is ideal. I only wish we had had more time here!

Excellent B&B avec hôtes très serviables

Séjour parfait dans ce B&B. Les chambres sont confortables et bien équipées dans une résidence sécurisée. Les hôtes sont très serviables et prêts à donner de bons conseils pour visiter Cape Town. Bon petit-déjeuner dans les espaces de vie communs, en surplomb de la piscine. Parking sécurisé. Proche de commodités (supermarché, restaurants…) et à deux pas du front de mer ! J’y retournerai sans hésiter.

It’s a lovely guest house with a great out door area. My room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were incredibly accommodating. My only gripe is that my room looked out over the elevated car park, there were no net curtains and maintenance was being carried out by workers. The reason this was a problem was that there was load shedding and I had to keep the dark heavy curtains closed, so I was totally in the dark on the morning of the 11th February 2019 for an extend couple of hours.

Felt like home!

Wow! We loved staying at Sundown Manor. We had a late arrival but Gary was very kind and understanding despite having to stay up late to greet us. His home is beautiful and complete. We had everything we needed. We loved the location and felt safe to walk to and from the many restaurant options close by (La Boheme was our very favorite). The breakfasts and coffee were delicious and we loved enjoying them on the terrace each morning with the mountain view around us. The home is very secure & quiet as well.

A gem in Sea Point!

This was my second stay at Sundown Manor and hopefully not my last! It's truly a gem--comfortable, good value for the price, beautifully maintained and in a perfect location to enjoy the lovely Sea Point area by foot, or a quick (10-15 minute) Uber to other parts of the city. Gary, Zelda and the entire staff are so kind, friendly and accommodating of special requests. I warmly recommend Sundown Manor as a comfortable "home away from home" for your next Cape Town vacation.

Comfortable, lovely and convenient stay!

Excellent, friendly service, with competent staff, Afrikaans, English and German speaking. Big room with cupboards, WiFi, big bathroom, safe parking, scrumptuos breakfasts, lovely garden with swimming pool. Near all restaurants, Promenade, Mountain View, quiet area, and host very friendly with interesting background with full, interesting bookshelves, trophies and comfortable lounge and balcony. Will definitely go back again, as they went out of their way to find a the best ever dogsitter for my doggie travelling me!
