Beautiful property, situated in a very quiet street. Staff were very attentive and flexible as they facilitated two changes of plans to my schedule. Good value and tasty breakfast included. Would definitely stay again.

I highly recommend it. The property is clean, safe and quiet. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and adequately stocked. The breakfast is to die for! Very delicious, nutritious, and in large portions that last you all day.

Thoughtful details and bucolic neighborhood

The hotel had everything I could imagine I might need from umbrellas to wine in the room. Very thoughtful details. Charles and the rest of the team were very welcoming. There is a nice living room space on the second floor which looks out at table mountain, the backyard, and the pool. I particularly liked working from there.

Calm beauty in the middle of the city

Riversong is everything you want in a guesthouse: stylish, clean, excellent staff, accommodating, attention to detail, small touches that make a difference. Located a 5 minute walk from Cavendish Square, Newlands sports ground and across Esme St from Sans Souci Girls High School, it is centrally located while also quiet even in the middle of a bustling work day. Highly recommended!

Riversong Guest House gets my seal of approval

This is an excellent guest house, spacious room, huge bathroom, full breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. My only issue was with the internet - is is unstable and sometimes it disconnects, you have to wait for a minute then it comes back. Just have in mind that this is a (beautiful) residential area, in the neighborhood (within 10 minutes walk) there is only a few shops, coffee shop, a supermarket, a restaurant, a bar - which I could not enjoy much as I was staying around Christmas & New Year and they were closed most of the days. To reach one of the trails to Table Mountain it takes only 15 minutes walk from the guest house. I would stay here again in the future if they fix the internet.

Total comfort and relaxation.

We stayed in the Leopard room. The spacious room had two double beds, a huge couch, plenty of storage, and a good size bathroom with a large bath and seperate shower. It's a beautifully decorated room with patio doors onto the terrace. The Guesthouse, although fully booked during our stay, was extremely peaceful and quiet. There was a good choice of both hot and cold options for breakfast. The omelettes were perfect. I cannot say enough about the staff. Each and everyone we encountered were unbelievably pleasant and good humoured. There is a lovely sense of calm about the place, and yet, the standards are very high. Our room was always pristine when we arrived back from our days activities, and every need is catered for. The location is good for exploring the cape. The city centre is about a 15 minute drive. Camps Bay is 20-25 minutes, and it's an easy drive to the winelands. If you want to leave the car behind in the evenings there is a local taxi which offers an extremely reliable and reasonable service. We took a taxi and dined in both Cape Town centre and Constantia. The Vineyard Hotel in Newlands is a stroll away and houses Myoga Restaurant, which is one of the best eateries we visited during our trip. I cannot recommend this guesthouse enough. It's like home from home. Thank you Inri, Charmaine, Aaron, Adda, and all the team for making our stay so pleasant and memorable.

Excellent Guest House with Great Customer Service

Excellent service! We were greeted by Aaron and felt very well taken care of the entire stay. There are not too many restaurants that are very close to the guest house but if you walk a little bit, there are quite a few options. Free parking as well and very close to the cricket stadium!
