The property is in pretty good shape,the rooms were cold as I went during winter but I was given an extra blanket for that, the wifi was really good and the showers were hot.The staff were pleasant and very resourceful.I would recommend the place to others.

Super friendly

Really nice hotel, super friendly staff, facial recognition for entry but we were there and it wasn’t working so there was someone in reception at all times. Rooms a big enough, we had a room for 3 people so 2 rooms and a small kitchen area with a seating area and TV

Trendy little apartment hotel

I loved the historical building. The loft rooms were trendy and nicely decorated. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Could have been a bit more attention to detail, like marks on the couch cushions that could have been cleaned off. There is no parking if you come in a vehicle and we had to leave our car in the street which we weren't very happy about. There was a guard there and the car was fine though.

The inside of the building was nice and my room was nice once the mattress and couches were cleaned. The cleaning staff was very accommodating. The first week my mattress and couches reeked of urine. I thought I could clean it myself but finally complained. They brought in steam cleaners and the problem was solved. I loved the park across the street but the area looks a little run down. Hotel is close to a great grocery store and the area is very historical.

This hotel was more like a Hostel. Suitable for younger people. The bed was in a loft where it was impossible to stand up! Access to the loft was by ladder which made it more difficult to get to. Staff did their best to assist me by removing couch and a table and chair to put mattress on the floor in front of the kitchenette. It was ok considering the price was quite inexpensive. Since I didn’t spend much time in my room I made do with it . Lizzy Ann did her best to make me comfortable.

Their listing indicates that there is no elevator, but (thankfully) there IS an elevator. Almost all rooms face the backside of another building, so if you want to see the sky, this place is not for you. There is no heat or AC, which didn't affect my stay (the weather was mild), but it would be tough to stay there in high winter or summer. I wouldn't. TV has no local channels, only streaming services IF you have your own accounts. The kitchen is well-eqipped (except for lack of a dish towel). The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The location is very central and convenient for walking to many sights. Every staff member was helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my 3-night stay.

Front desk extremely helpful. Arrived very early so our luggage was stored then delivered to our room once the troop was ready. We liked the design of the renovation. Many of the old features were left such as the iron windows, gorgeous brass front door. The interior wood panelling has been painted white which made the place bright and contemporary looking. We found the beds a bit too soft. Would appreciate some basic toiletries.

Long story short avoid staying here, 1) room smell as smoke, solution was an air freshener 2) shower was clogged so water flow into room 3) unsafe area, particularly at night - luckily for us was only one sleepless night but hope no one else dies the same mistake

Fijne verblijfplaats in hartje Kaapstad

Alles hier was erg fijn. Locatie top, centraal en 15 / 20 minuten lopen van Waterfront. Personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, alles schoon. Er zit een volledige keuken in de kamer, waardoor het makkelijk is je eigen eten te bereiden. WIFI goed en stabiel
