I was in Cape Town for a few days for a conference. This was a great option at a lower price point than the official conference hotels. The room and bed were comfortable and the staff were all friendly. Breakfast was included and was a nice selection of hot and cold items. I didn't try the restaurant for other meals. They provide water and tea/coffee in the room. It is convenient to the convention center and other touristy locales and is bustling during the day. However, many locals strongly advised that you do not walk around the area after dark. So even though my colleagues were at another hotel around the corner, I used Uber after dark. It seemed silly but the local prices for Uber are very affordable and worth it. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Room nice; bathroom floor grout was grubby and nasty looking. Street beside hotel was noisy in the mornings. People asking for a quiet room should not be placed on the "tree side" of the hotel. Also, staff should not leave the window open; it was only after the first morning that we discovered it was open and let in more noise early. The receptionist was misleading when we asked how to see the penguins; the tour he recommended and bought was a miserable trip through housing developments and traffic. The driver was a horrible tour guide, angry and ill-tempered. The receptionist should advise guests that ride-shares have trouble finding the hotel and inform them where to tell drivers to pick them up and deliver them back to.

Location was ideal with a great bonus of a complimentary shuttle to and from the Waterfront (at set times). Room was spacious with generous supply of tea, coffee, toffee and cookies! Staff were very polite and helpful.

Agréable séjour

Nous avions pris un hôtel à la dernière minute et nous ne regrettons absolument pas. L’hôtel est très bien mais surtout TRÈS BIEN SITUÉ, tout était à peut près à 15min en voiture. Enorment de restaurant à 900m donc ça nous faisait des petites balades.

Gostei da experiência no hotel, os quartos são amplos, camas boas e chuveiro excelente. Eles dispõe de água na geladeira, cafeteira nespresso e chaleira elétrica nos quartos, inclusive algumas cápsula de café e sachês de chá como cortesia. O único ponto negativo é o sinal de Wifi nos quartos, fiquei no 3º andar e simplesmente não pegava, já no saguão do hotel o sinal e a velocidade da conexão são bons. Outro ponto positivo é a localização, fica ao lado da Long Street, da pra ir caminhando até a Kloof Street, ao Castelo da Boa Esperança e ao Waterfront.

It does not really look like in the pictures. Rooms and lobby are renovated and are nice and clean. But the inside of the building is missing bits and pieces here and there that makes it look and feel less than what it could be, such as the inside of the elevator missing some stuff. Breakfast was quite unimpressive and service was slow in general, both restaurant and reception. The surrounding areas are not nice to look at during daytime and quite intimidating after dark but nothing happened.

There was a shower issue but it was fixed promptly. Breakfast/bar are basic but adequate. Parking was on-street but in a square with good security and extremely convenient being right at the hotel entrance.
