"The room had a great ocean view. The property was older but had been renovated somewhat. Our only complaint was the “pet friendly” building had an odor in the halls (I think from the old carpet) and the room smelled old and not fresh. This was disappointing because you could tell the room was cleaned well but the smell made it feel dirty. Overall the hotel was nice and the amenities including the game room were a perk. Also, the restaurant had really great food and dessert. All of the staff were very friendly. "

Two minor things that did not influence our stay, but you probably want to be aware of if you are not already. The drain in the main shower is partially clogged and water backs up during the shower. Probably just needs some liquid drain cleaner. The second thing was we noticed that the clothes dryer shut off after a short period without things being completely dry. Your house cleaners might have noticed the same thing. Again, these are totally minor and not a compliant at all. We love the place and hope to stay there again in the future."

My criteria was to find a fully fenced backyard for my dog and a clean unit. I really found both criteria and so much more with this cottage. I thought it was perfect for my 3-night stay. Loved how clean it was and did not smell the strong chemical odor most pet friendly rentals have. The bedding and towels were high quality, with kitchen ware having everything I needed to make my meals, including a coffee bean grinder. Both bedrooms are spacious as well as the living and dining/kitchen areas. A person could easily stay here for a couple weeks and be happy with the space. It is close to the Hwy, but the house is well insulated so I did not hear traffic. The ocean view is far away, and only really seen from the dining area. I was totally fine with the view. Each day I had my ocean views with my dog on the beach. I want to stay here again!"

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second time we have stayed at The Breakers. I had hoped the inside would have some updates. It did have a better couch. Stained sticky notes all over the kitchen, faded personal artwork from just looks unkept and uninviting. Having said this, the rental company folks were awesome. The cleaners fine. No problem there. It seems clear that the owners are not investing anything back into this property, except paint for the outside."
