"My partner and I spent three nights here for the festival, and it's a clean student accommodation. The good thing is the reception is 24 hours, and the room is clean. Also, it's a walking distance to the most sightseeing spots in Edinburgh. However, the twin bed is difficult for two adults even though I am small. The window is not easy to open, so it's a bit warm in summer. There is no soundproofing in the room, so that you can hear a lot of noise from people slamming the doors all night and...

"Great location for city. Really terrible cheap mattress, you could feel every spring digging in your back or side. I feel sorry for the students staying at this uni. Everything else was good, but if you want to sleep well, go elsewhere. "

"Staff friendly, helpful and responsive. Room and facilities clean. Parking secure and convenient. Breakfast convenient and plentiful, great to have so many options, including traditional Scottish. Canteen style works for the setting. Rooms basic but as expected, as is the overall stay. Would stay here again for the value and practically. "

"The staff was fantastic karma the fellow guests were pleasant to be around, they had a lovely and fully equipped kitchen to cook meals in and all in all I loved the vibe and having my morning coffee on the back covered patio! Absolutely plan on coming back for my vacation next year!!"

In-house bar serving multiple refreshments, kitchen facilities in basement for self catering, lounge area with large bay windows to watch the world passing.."

"I have stayed at this hostel many times but always before with other people-= so it was especially great to have a room to myself - with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The buffet breakfast was good and coffee was too .The last time i stayed the road outside was being converted for the tram lines-but now that the tram runs almost to the door from Waverley station and the airport it is excellent. The room was clean modern and a lot better than the hotel I stayed in for the rest...

"A great historical property which is not too far from the main roads. A converted church, so voices tend to carry. Great for solo travellers because you can get a room for one person. Bathrooms have all amenities, but could use a larger floor mat outside of shower, floors were a little slippery. Inside main quarters, beautiful stained glass and ceiling features. Front desk was very helpful. "

"I loved the ambiance of this place. It was in a convenient spot as it was only 5 min walk from many of our tour meeting spots and sights we wanted to see. Check-in was a breeze, staff was friendly and let us store our luggage. Only negative was the size of our private 4 bed room. It was the smallest hostel room I had ever stayed in. Very little space to open our suitcases "

"Worked well for the 5 of us, lots of stairs so be prepare their is a room on the first floor and that is where I stayed, also used it to put suitcases and able to manage the stair issue. All Europe has many stairs so you should not be surprised just be prepared. Was walking distance to many places and it was lovely. I would recommend a stay at this house. Make sure you bring the right plugs and enough for your electrical items, and hair dryers."

"Overall I’ll say it was a nice stay! Everything was super close and the are was incredibly nice. In regards to the room, I was on the lower ground level - there were times where it would be incredibly noisy. I will op for upper levels next time. "
