The location is perfect! Right in the heart of downtown Bologna, walking distance to just about everything you would want to see and do. Historical sites, numerous restaurants and pubs, shopping. But it's off a quiet side street so the downtown noise never reaches you. The room was really nice and larger than we expected. Now for the hosts. Christina's son, Nicola, extended a level of service was above and beyond what we could ever have expected. Greeting us with a smile (every time!). He personally brought our luggage up to the third floor room. He showed us where to go and what to see. He recommended local (non-tourist) restaurants within walking distance and even made the reservations for us (his recommendations were excellent). Also, when we realized that we made a mistake with our reservation dates and needed to stay an extra night, he tried his hardest to accommodate us (checking with future guests if they were going to show up or cancel). When that didn't work out, he personally called the hotel oat our next stop and made sure that we could arrive there a day early. Nicola's sister (sorry, forgot her name) served us breakfast each morning and was so sweet.
One thing to know is that there is no sign in front of the building announcing the B&B and the number 6 is not very noticeable. So look for the dark brown wooden door shaped like an arch with the dark brown 6 on the right side. On the left are door bells and there it says the name of the place.
Would return!
