"The small town of Marseillette was perfectly located for us to explore the Minervois wine region, the City of Carcassone, and the Canal Midi. It was a pleasure to return home at the end of every day to relax on the sunny terrace with a glass of wine, and contemplate the outstanding view of the lovely French countryside. The home was comfortable, nicely furnished with all the amenities we expect from a high end rental, and our hostess was exceptional. Highly recommended."

"Lovely stay in Bize. House charming with beautiful rooms. Garden was the star as it had just the right mix of shade and sun as well as the petanque area. We spent most of our time in the kitchen and garden enjoying the wonderful weather and the superb local produce. The house needs a bit of TLC as the toilet was leaking and did not flush properly when we arrived. (the owner sorted for us on the second day). The plugs in the bathroom sinks did not work either. "Logement très bien placé et donnant sur la rue principale traversante de Roquebrun, en bas du village, près du pont. Tout se fait à pied. Petite remarque : l'annonce parle d'un jardin, en fait il s'agit d'une terrasse, sans vue mais sans vis à vis non plus, donc calme et retirée. Un parasol serait utile pour compléter l'équipement de la terrasse. Attention aussi, la télé n'est pas connectée. C'est juste un écran sur lequel vous pourrez projeter vos smartphones. Mais l'appartement est vraiment...

The photos don’t really do the house justice, plenty of space and cool - although all of the waking hours were spent outside enjoying the pool in the warmth, under clear blue skies. "The property is typical french quirky and generally enjoyable - since the house is 17th century we can forgive the dim lights and basic electrics. The sewage issue (day 2) was sorted very quickly - this can happen anytime and communications with the manager were very quick. The excellent Comptoir restaurant next door (book ahead) is a real bonus and the boulangerie and convenience store were great too.
