"This was the perfect get away for us. It was confortable and very clean. The hiking was perfect."

"The cabin is so cozy. Loved the fireplace and convenience to Tupper, Saranac, and lake Placid. Great place to stay if you have a student at the Ranger School in Wanakana (Cranberry Lake) as well. Great day hikes close by. Internet is fast if you have any work meetings. The kitchen pots and pans were also great - chef grade. Water cooler was also a great touch. All of the couches and chairs were comfy for family movie nights in the evening.And there was plenty of seating for everyone. Wish we could have used the screen porch more but it snowed and was chilly when we were there. There is a little stream that runs down that side of the cabin and it is so tranquil. "

"Amazing stay. The cottage was clean, Leslie is an amazing hostess. Pet friendly so next time I may have to bring my dog. Hot tub was so refreshing as well as the sauna. Enjoyed it so much my husband and I are planning on going back next year. "

"The host was welcoming, especially their dogs who were very friendly greeters. My kids enjoyed how friendly they were. I appreciate how easy the home was to access, especially because we got there late at night. It’s a rugged cabin and that is part of the charm. I thought the location was great, close to Gore and the Garnit lodge, cemetery road is nice for walking, very scenic. I imagine it’s a great place in the spring /summer, will possibly return for spring rafting and kayaking. "
