"What a beautiful little hotel. We were welcomed by a cosy fire and an equally warm smile from the receptionist. Check-in was effortless thanks to an email received a few days in advance, allowing us to complete everything online beforehand. The room was spotless and generously sized, and the many thoughtful little extras we hadn’t expected made the stay feel especially special. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options to choose from. We also appreciated the hotel’s eco-friendly touches, such as bottles of milk instead of single-use packets and large luxury toiletries, which felt both sustainable and indulgent. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant and were kindly accommodated with a table by the fire. The food was delicious and a perfect end to the day. During our stay, we visited Alice Holt Forest and the Devil’s Punch Bowl for local walks, both of which were incredibly scenic and very enjoyable. We stayed here on our way to visiting family in London and would most definitely stay here again."

"This hotel is always welcoming. I like the peace of the location and the absence of the big chain feel. Staff are like family and hotel has character. This stay over Xmas was enjoyable and provided a good base for family visits. Breakfast is legendary and a great start to the day. ( I have one breakfast credit I will be back to claim 😊) Bed was comfortable and shower was good those are the big asks. It has a small bar area that is quaint. The only improvement would be some type of evening food not a full menu maybe just hot snacks at the bar. Guess people order in these days. Highly recommended and certainly a regular for me. "

"From the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful and friendly which continued throughout our 2night stay. Room a lovely size. Lovely and warm too. Food was great and bar staff attentive too. All in all a very relaxing experience and would thoroughly recommend to others. "
