"We arrived late at night and were informed of a power outage. This was due to water leakage coming through light fittings and was due to heavy rain during roof repairs. We were not supplied with torches and were reliant on light from our phones. The floor was wet in 3 patches within our room and continued to drip through the light fittings through the night. We were informed that the host would meet us and guide us in but he fell asleep so we made our own way in the dark. There were tarpaulines on the roof that flapped noisily above our bathroom. The power outage was not resoved until breakfast time next morning after we messaged the host - no power =no hot water. The property has fantastic potential, the host gave us clear directions and was apologetic about the power outage, but we question the safety of hosting guests while renovations are underway. We were told the roof would be worked on next day but after three nights we still had flapping tarps above us. Carparking and property access was also inappropriate during these renovations. The pool was obviously closed as it was green and dirty- yet to be cleaned for summer. When renovations are complete this property will be comfortable and very well appointed."

"We had a wonderful weekend at the farm stay, this place is perfect for kids! The whole family loved seeing the animals, feeding them, fresh eggs for breakfast, rides on the paddle boat, and the beautiful grassed area for running and playing. The house itself is clean and well equiped, the deck area perfect for outdoor meals. We will be back for sure. "
