"Our stay was delightful. The property, although undergoing renovation is lovely. We had a beautiful room on the beach. The breakfast was tasty and staff so accommodating. The outdoor pool was lovely and refreshing. They have done an excellent job with sound proofing the rooms when door are closed. Only downside was the lack of kitchen amenities. No plates or silverware and limited ability to eat in room. But, for location, ambiences, gardens and overall cleanliness, I give it five stars."

"We've spent the past three anniversaries here & this will be our last. We planned to relax in the jacuzzi our last night, but my husband instead walked in on a couple behaving inappropriately. He notified the front desk because their behavior was unacceptable, clearly unsanitary, & needed to be cleaned right away. We were later told the couple claimed they were "only swimming," which didn't reflect what was actually witnessed. The following morning at checkout, I followed up with two front desk agents. There was no acknowledgment, no apology, & no concern. Just my bill handed to me & I was sent on my way. I understand they may have been embarrassed since it wasn't their doing. Still, with my background in the hotel industry, I know how important guest experience & service recovery are. The complete lack of response especially for a returning guest, is unacceptable & is why we won't return."

"It was our first time here. Me and my wife came for our 8 year anniversary, i added on the roses to the room with a bottle of wine, the roses turned out amazing my wife was so happy, Staff super friendly, overall the place is nice and clean the room with the jacuzzi was amazing, it has Ac also has a fireplace to keep the room nice and cozy, the bed was super comfortable, only small complaint I have is the jacuzzi area had alot of ants but other then that everything was amazing definitely recommend this place, will definitely come back in the near future"

"Hotel is in a nice area, right next to beach. Nice breakfast and staff. But this property is dated and our room (213) was very dark. Try to get a room facing the water."

"This tree-house is a must if you haven't stayed in tree-houses before. We arrived very late in the night but the host graciously waited for our arrivals and also helped with our bags up the staircases. The bathroom door is loose and due to the natural slant of the tree house, doesnt close properly but everything else was perfect. The location is great - the Pismo beach boardwalk isn't far. It's a great place to stop at, if you are driving down from SF to LA. "
