I want to especially point out the excellent attention provided for by Laure at the reception and Batiste during breakfast. They were extremely nice and paid attention to every single detail. Chateâu de Brindos has a unique location by the lake.

Beautiful hotel with tranquil style
The hotel is a characterful, secluded, mansion style building set in parkland with its own lake. Very clean and well appointed. Very good swimming pool. Rooms have large balconies with lovely views. The staff were very helpful, giving us good recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants in the surrounding area and making reservations for us. We didn't eat in the hotel but the restaurant and breakfast look very good.

Nice Hotel Cost of breakfast ridiculous
The hotel in lovely and obviously caters for the ‘Up Market’ clientele that they get given the proximity to the fashionable town of Biarritz, however Breakfast was not included and cost 26€ each!!!!! Far too much for a continental breakfast with additional hot items extra! Also be aware you are right next to an airport and will get occasional jet noise (not that busy though.

Beautiful Chateau and amazing staff!
The Chateau was beautiful and in a peaceful surrounding area with a lake and a pool. Rustic style rooms were provided and brilliant were on hand to help with everything I needed. It is linked to a fantastic restaurant (make sure to book in advanced) which has great food and wine in a somewhat romantic setting

Lovely but the food was soooo expensive
What a lovely setting and our room was fabulous. The staff were really welcoming and pleasant - with one exception. The restaurant staff seemed very dour and not friendly at all. No help with the language and very pointed in their disapproval if you did something wrong - for example when my husband poured his sauce on his own meal! The food in general is exceedingly expensive €26 per head for a fairly average continental breakfast. We had dinner in the restaurant as we were late arriving and it was very expensive. They charged us €4.50 for a pat of butter - I think that is outrageous and petty. Overall, though I thought the place was lovely just a shame about the prices.

we have stayed at over 50 five stars hotels, booked mainly with Expedia,but this hotel was not up to the Standard of Relais and Chateaux,as it is lacking the attention to detail,that you expect of a 5star Hotel . This also is the first ever review that I have done.

Very relaxing and convenient Chateau Hotel
Hotel staff very friendly and hospitable. They also spoke excellent English. Location is very attractive, and also close to the airport. For sightseeing the excellent local bus service is required if you don't have a car. The hotel staff were very helpful with information for the buses, and local sightseeing. Would certainly stay again if returning to this pleasant region of France.

Stunning hotel with lovely staff
We had a lovely time at the beautiful Chateau de Brindos. The building was amazing, great view from our balcony and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Close to the airport and a short taxi ride to town. We would definitely return!

An oasis of calm
Exceeded all expectations! A beautiful place, very friendly staff and our room was fabulous with a view of the lake, we were only let down by the weather. We had our meal in the restaurant and no exaggeration it was some of the best food we have tasted. I am vegetarian and the chef presented me with two superb dishes. Fine dining for a reasonable price- 3 courses for 54 euros. If you find yourself in Biarritz don't miss the chance to stay here.

Great get away between Bayonne and Barritzz
It is a old family home in a lake very close to Bayonne and Biarritz. For an urban area it is very quiet with a forest surrounding the lake. It has a great breakfast for 18 euros in a wonderful dining area. Rooms are very large and the bathtub is marvelous.

We were here for a close friend's wedding and the chateau was beautiful. It was totally booked for the wedding so we were able to see the backyard and grounds completely customized for our friends and it was the perfect backdrop to a beautiful weekend. The staff seemed very friendly and accommodating!

Ch Brindos is a haven in the suburbia that is Biarritz, tranquil, lovely lake, grounds and well maintained.Service v. good, meal satisfactory.

This is a luxurious hotel with beautiful grounds. The rooms are hot and stuffy (only negative), but we slept with the balcony door open to let in the breeze. Highly recommended, except for the summer months!

NICE LARGE ROOM BUT LACKING SOME ESSENTIALS, SUCH AS COMFY CHAIRS (INSTEAD OF 2 STRAIGHT, HARD CHAIRS), A DESK AND A SITTING AREA. NO ELEVATOR, NO AIR CONDITIONING. THE HOTEL ITSELF IS LOVELY, AS ARE THE GROUNDS. MOST OF THE STAFF WAS HELPFUL. THE FOOS WAS GOOD, BUT EXPENSIVE. WE ATE BREAKFAST OUT.

Charming hotel on a private lake.
Lovely spacious rooms overlooking a private lake teeming with wildlife. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent and the site, overlooking the lake, is a highlight. Breakfast was similarly good with simple choices but all fresh ingredients and typically excellent bread and croissants. The site, a kilometer from the airport, might make you worry about noise but being just to the side of the runway alignment means you are completely unaware of aircraft operations.

Great location off the main path
If you want to visit Biarritz and not be in main fray, this is the place to be. Large rooms with expansive bathroom including a large soaking tub and separate shower. Great balcony space for your morning coffee. Need a car or taxi ($20 euro each way) to get to downtown Biarritz. Very relaxing and great hotel staff.

First Class with a personal touch
Stayed here for a few days on our honeymoon and could not have chosen a more perfect venue. An exceptional level of service in an impeccably maintained chateau. Rooms are huge with fabulous bathrooms. We had a lakeside view with a balcony. Food in the restaurant was world class. We will definitely return.

We booked a deluxe room for 3 nights in mid-October. The room is quite possibly the most beautiful room we have ever had the pleasure of stayin in during our global travels. Lovely colors and decorations and big. The bathroom was huge with a terrific shower. The problem was the A/C never worked and so we suffered 3 fairly uncofortable nights. At first the front desk told us the A/C would build up and to be patient and the next day they had the good sense (they could sense my growing anger) to acknowledge it was broken. But then they did nothing to fix it!! The dining room was average and the wines expensive. If only the AC had worked and the staff had been more helpful, this place would be just wonderful. The location means you must have a car as there is nothing around or near to the hotel of any interest.

Beautiful hotel, fabulous restaurant over looking lake, lovely pool. It is tranquil and although It is close to airport it's not on the flight path, so you don't hear the planes. We arrived at noon, and although hotel had been full night before theybhad our room ready within 30 mins, they came to find us to take us to our room, where our luggage had already been delivered, The bedrooms are lovely, most over look the gardens and lake. Looking forward to my next stay at the hotel.

It was a wonderful experience
We loved everything about this hotel and it's surroundings. The staff and service were excellent, the room superb. Only critisim is that as a vegetarian we were unable to eat in the restaurant. The menu's are set and they would not offer any alternative. I would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful hotel.

Beautiful Hotel + Very Good Location
Beautiful hotel in a very nice environment. Good point is that it is also not in the center of town but remains very close to the centre of Biarritz and Anglet (about 10 minutes drive). A car is a must if you stay there.

Well worth a visit
We spent a night there and loved it but although we ate there we would probably go out for other meals because the menu is not very extensive. Very tanquil even though the airport is not far away and lovely to watch the ducks, coypu etc. the hotel is very tasteful and the bathrooms wonderful - reminiscent of a hotel we stayed in on Majorca - Gran Son Net.
