  • Atypical apartment located in the heart of Bayeux, less than 5 minutes walk from Bayeux Cathedral, the Baron Gérard Museum (MAHB) and the Queen Mathilde Tapestry.
    It consists of a very bright Loft part with its large bay windows and composed of a large lounge area, a fully equipped American kitchen and a pleasant dining area.
    The corridor deserts the first bedroom (double bed), a bathroom with a shower and a spa bath and leads you to the surprising element of the apartment: a large bedroom (2 single beds) in the 19th century style with moldings, marble fireplace and period parquet flooring.

Location, location…very plain, if you’re staying a short time bring, shampoo, conditioner, soap or body wash. Just the essentials provided. Apartment was clean, taken care of and not a bad place to lay your head. But, again, the location was fabulous!

We had a great stay at the apartment. It is well-appointed and comfortable, and is close to all the sights. There are shops and restaurants all around but it was quiet at night. A nice place from which to explore Bayeux.

Exceptional location, cute place

Loved the view and location, right on old Bayeux. Lots of access to the restaurants and the view is magnificent.The check in process was good, they have a concierge service. The building worried us initially because it smelled pretty bad coming in, but the apartment was very clean and nice.

In the heart of the city on the main shopping street, this apartment is very comfortable. Pay parking around the corner and free parking two blocks away. Easy walk to all sites and restaurants. Host very helpful and responsive.

Heart of the city

The apartment is immaculate with everything you should need. Located on the 2nd floor with windows overlooking a typical downtown street full of shops and restaurants. Very conveniently located close to the cathedral and close to the tapestry museum. If you're visiting the D-Day beaches, they are all within a short drive. We took two full-day private guided tours with Allied Victory Tours and Bayeux Shuttle. Wonderful experience.

Very nice apartment in a great location! It appeared the apartment building had suffered a leak so it felt damp and a little moldy especially in the toilet area. No fans, so it was hard to dry it out and two of us with allergies suffered because of the damp air. No courtesy shampoo or body wash given which was hard for a 3 night stay with international guests. Other places I've stayed had small bottles for guest use. Minimum # of towels with no hand towels in bathroom. No paper towels in kitchen.

Great location

The apartment was in a great location easily walkable to restaurants shops and sites. While the apartment was clean it lacked necessities. The beds did not have top sheets or proper pillows just the decorative Euro shams which made for a very uncomfortable sleep. After getting in late and a long day of sightseeing and travel we woke up to no coffee pods. When I inquired where is the coffee we were given directions to a local market. IMO that is absolutely unacceptable. A coffee maker and no coffee!

Great location, well below par service

Great location, cant fault that. Right in the middle of the town, with shops and restaurants right on your door step. Check in - shocking!!! We arrived at 9pm due to being stuck in Dover in Easter Friday madness (got there at 7am, didnt board the ferry until 2.30pm). We communicated this to the agent who responed "checking is between 3pm and 7pm. Late check in fee is €30 (this was not mentioned in any confirmation emails or the website) or you can check in the following day - well thought through as they knew we would have no choice but to pay. Vrbo customer services also not helpful, basically told us we dont have to pay and are entitled to cancel with full refund - at this point we were already in France! Property very dated, beds small and very uncomfortable, cleanliness standards not great either, bath tub full of dust. Damp smell throughout the flat. Fireplace mentiobed on website was a fireplace with lantern with led candle they didnt work. Not worth the hassle and not value for money

Comfortable stay in a wonderful location

Camille was very responsive with communications leading up to the stay and Nicholas met us promptly at check in time which was very helpful and appreciated. The apartment is a short 15 minute taxi ride from the train which was convenient. The apartment is as described in the pictures and the beds were very comfortable. The apartment is clean. There is no body soap provided so make sure you bring your own.You can not beat the location as you walk out the front door and there are wonderful bakeries, shops and restaurants up and down the quaint street.Two things that need to be addressed:1). the shower is small and is difficult to enter and exit.My 80YO mother was concerned she was going to slip and fall and was reluctant to shower again. If you are older or frail you will have a hard time. I did provide feedback that support rails should be installed for safety and ease of use.2). The front door lock is very difficult and temperamental to unlock. The second evening it took us 20 minutes to unlock the door. Camille was responsive and encouraged us to contact Nicholas. We did, but he did not respond. Bayeux is not a town where you can get a locksmith at 9PM. Tenants should not have to deal w this hassle and it would be low hanging fruit for the owner to just have the lock replaced.Overall it was a great apartment, but the shower issue and the unpredictability with the main door lock would make me reluctant to stay again.
