"Very charming hotel, beautiful courtyard. I am very happy I got to experience this 800 year old hotel with such a pretty site especially that I came all the way from San Francisco. The only common is that we happened to stay during the heatwave, the room is extremely hot, and the room facing the street it is loud with party peorple walking by and talking loud - drunk on a Sat. night. Otherwise, I love my stay and highly recommended."

"Very helpful staff who helped us when needed. Only down side was the 37 degree day, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. Would stay again though"

"Great location for exploring Salisbury as everything was in walking distance. The hotel was spotless and very well looked after. All the staff were so helpful and friendly, with nothing too much trouble. Rooms were fantastic with great air conditioning, much appreciated on the hottest weekend of the year. Eggs cooked to order at breakfast, which made breakfast one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. Superb experience all round and we will definitely be back the next time we are in Salisbury."

"Motel about 5 miles north of Salisbury. Room very spacious and cool in a very hot week, on-site restaurant, lots of parking. Staff always friendly and helpful Breakfast buffet a bit disorganised and quality variable Not many amenities nearby"

"Very pretty property, with a great view. A little distance from the city center, but they run a most friendly and flexible shuttle into town that works great, very good idea and a very commendable effort. Breakfast is good. We had a large room (2 adults 2 kids) very spacious. Some aspects of maintenance could be improved, but it is always a challenge with these country homes, they have the charm, but not everything is impecable. A little on the expensive side, but reasonable. Great parking."

The Potter's Heron - A Heartwood Inn

"We stayed one night, we didn't eat or drink as we were going out to a party nearby, but the pub/restaurant looked nice and was quite busy. Despite how busy it was, the room was lovely and quiet and was nice and well presented with working air-conditioning. There were nice extra touches, like a heated towel rail, complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee, bottled water and nibbles plus a DAB radio. The bed was comfortable but sadly the double was only a 4'6" rather than the more usual 5' you find in the chain hotels, and since my husband is quite a broad, tall man it was really too small for us to sleep well. The ensuite shower room was lovely with high spec fixtures and fittings and the shower was excellent. There was plenty of free parking space too."

Norton Park Hotel, Spa & Manor House

"We had to change rooms because our door would not lock and toilet would not flush. We waited an hour for maintenance but no one came, we had booked a meal so had to leave our room unlocked. We returned 2 hours later and still door could not lock or loo didn't flush. After discussion on front desk ( no manager available) we were given another room. This one was excellent."
