"First of all the building is amazing! Steeped in history and much preserved. The staff on reception from the minute you arrive to the staff in the restaurant at breakfast were all very friendly and efficient. The room was large and very comfortable, with lovely toiletries and coffee/tea making facilities. Loved the security to accessing the bedrooms too. "

"We had a lovely stay. The 'cottage' was well equipped and ideal for the two of us. The house was spotless and very easy to keep clean & tidy. Though a little further from Durham city than we expected, the buses ran regularly from the main road a short walk away. As it was near the top of the hill, walking back from Durham would have been very hard! We had left the car at home, but found the buses to be excellent - on time and going to all the places we wanted to visit. Thank you."
