"One night trip to San Francisco for a Giants game. We have stayed at the Handlery before and loved it. This time was no exception. Staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the location works great for us. This time we got a balcony and really enjoyed it. Also noticed the Union Square area was much cleaner than it has been the past few years. That was nice to see."

"The property itself was stunning. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The entire hotel was clean and well kept. The room was beautiful. The area around the hotel was rough. Construction everywhere and the homeless population was to the extent it felt unsafe to walk around. We witnessed a women drop her pants and defecate right out front in between two cars. Again properly beautiful but just watch your surroundings when not on the property itself. "
"Game room was a plus, on site restaurant and walking distance to mall made eating options easy. Room itself was just ok but staff and hotel cleanliness made up for it"

"I stayed here for four nights. I had a great stay, and I would definitely stay here again. I had a very early flight and arrived earlier than check-in. I was helped by Vivian. She was able to get me into a room a bit earlier. She is an absolute gem! Super kind and friendly. Every single staff member in this hotel is super friendly. It's an older building, but everything inside has been nicely renovated. The room was sweet and had everything you could need. The neighborhood is perfectly fine; right downstairs are a bunch of diners, shops, and, honestly, everything you would need. Go 5 blocks in one direction; it could get a bit sketchy; however, 2 blocks away are Starbucks, Nordstrom, Macy's, and a mini-Times Square, if you will. I traveled solo, and I felt completely safe walking around. Overall, it was a great stay and experience, and I would recommend this hotel. "
