4.5 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (2680)
"The property itself was stunning. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The entire hotel was clean and well kept. The room was beautiful. The area around the hotel was rough. Construction everywhere and the homeless population was to the extent it felt unsafe to walk around. We witnessed a women drop her pants and defecate right out front in between two cars. Again properly beautiful but just watch your surroundings when not on the property itself. "

"One night trip to San Francisco for a Giants game. We have stayed at the Handlery before and loved it. This time was no exception. Staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the location works great for us. This time we got a balcony and really enjoyed it. Also noticed the Union Square area was much cleaner than it has been the past few years. That was nice to see."

Beacon Grand, A Union Square Hotel
4.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (1001)
"Overall it was a nice stay. We arrived and checked in and went to our room but it was not cleaned. They helped us and upgraded us to a bigger room as courtesy for their error. The staff was all super nice and so was valet. The bed was nice but the shower had little pressure so it was not very eco because more water was wasted trying to rinse. Area was decent for san francisco. The trolley stops in front of the hotel which is convienient. I would stay here again."

Beacon Grand, A Union Square Hotel
The Andrews Hotel
3.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (1001)
"This is our 5th time staying at this hotel. It is a very convenient location in San Francisco to get to lots of different theaters, restaurants, bars, etc, but it generally seems a little bit safer and quieter than the heart of the Tenderloin. The hotel has some great history, the rooms all have lots of character, but are very clean and beds are comfy. Staff is excellent - helpful and friendly, all of them, from front desk to housekeeping. There is a free breakfast of good pastries...
