"This hotel met my needs perfectly for a 5 day stay in Edinburgh. I had just gotten off a 7 day hike in the Higlands and needed their laundry facilities to clean up my hiking clothes. Having the kitchen available meant I did not have to go out for every meal and could eat a little healthier because I was preparing the food. Being on the royal mile meant I was close to the train station for 2 day trips, and close to town to see sights. I was frustrated that I had to drag my packed bag 10...

"Great location to explore Edinburgh. The rooms felt a little clinical with not much character, but were very comfortable. Great choice of breakfast. Good choice of restaurants and bars around and really close to Edinburgj castle. We chose the hotel partly becuase of the sky bar with the view, but this was only open on weekends, and children are not allowed, which had we known we may have chosen a different hotel.
