“Sheraton Princess Kaiulani and its surroundings”

Hotel is conveniently located a few steps away from Waikiki Beach. Plenty of places to eat and shop are nearby. Hotel had daily entertainment at the pool, which is a plus, but there was an abundance of entertainment all around. Hotel offers access to parking structure, which is something to consider for those who rent vehicles in Oahu.

“MCHS March 2013 Hawaii Trip”

Very suprising hotel, staff was friendly and we got the room we wanted. The lobby has an open air feeling which to us was very inviting and relaxing. Location of the hotel was excellent as it is located almost in the middle of all the shops, the ladies in my life were happy! The hotel also offers guests free beach chairs to use and if you lounge on the beach in back of the "Duke" statue, certain hours of the day they will bring water and fruits to you for free, awesome! Oh, walking distance to the beach, a mere 2-3 minutes. The only draw back to the hotel was that the pool closes early and there is no hot tub/jacuzzi. However, all guest are entitled to use other Shereton hotel's ameneties that are in the area, hint hint just ask as your key card is programmed into their system. The hotel also offers nightly band and hula entertainment. More can be said about the Shereton's Princess Ka'iulani Hotel, but I think you get the picture on how 'we' liked it. With this review, I hope your experience will be as good or better than ours, Aloha!

“Lovely hotel in good location”

This hotel was really lovely. The room was spacious, attractive and comfortable. There were nice (free) activities like quilt-making, pineapple sampling and ukulele playing. The pool was satisfactory and pool area pleasant. Fitness room was good. Very convenient to beach without the cost of being right on the beach. The hotel was just across Kalakaua St. from the beach and provided both towels and beach chairs. Visitors should be aware that the hotel charges a mandatory additional $12/day that covers parking, bottled water and beach towels--this is actually a good rate in Waikiki for parking if you need it.

“Try not to stay while they're totally booked.”

Unfortunately, we stayed at Princess Kaiulani during a week when they were completely booked and we couldn't upgrade to a room with a balcony and/or view of the ocean. Being use to staying at resorts, we were not too happy with a motel room. I enjoy having a kitchenette. But that being said, the hotel was very nice. I knew it was older, that is why I picked it, but more work could be done with the upkeep, such as glueing down lifting wall paper and installing arched shower curtain rods so the curtain doesn't stick to you when you shower. The bed was the best I have ever had at a resort, down pillows and comforters and this is the first time I've gone home without a backache. The breakfast and dinner buffets were great.
