The staff was really nice and friendly, the roof top was a nice place to chill and relax, and the location is so convenient. You can walk to a convenience store, the beach, food trucks, and beach rentals all within a 15 minute walk. The only issue for me was the bunk beds kept squeaking all night long and the shower in our room was super small and hard to use.

The location was perfect for a light traveler. The room was generally clean and the bathroom seemed to be clean every day. Personal lockers were provided and I would say it is decent, but it was small to put your suitcase in it, just small items only. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. A shower towel was not provided, I believe they charged for the towel. I carried my own and used it. Overall, I would recommend staying here, especially if you have a light pocket and looking for cheap options to stay in Waikiki.

Fantastic, kind, personable customer service! It is a hostel and not a 5-star hotel, so little luxuries like fresh towels and mini soaps were not provided. However, you could rent beach towels for $2 (they were a little sour after use, likely due to the humidity) and you could borrow any of the water equipment for free check-out. There were also daily tours & activities for $30 to beautiful local attractions/hikes/etc. Definitely geared towards college-aged students looking for somewhere to crash and hang out. Enjoyed my time!

3/5 Okay

Disliked: Cleanliness
Pros: Staff was nice, the place was quiet at night and it was close of public transport and many restaurants. Good free coffee in the morning! On my last day I appreciate to be able to leave my luggage during the whole day and to use the shower (the shower on the roof was clean). Tours organized by the hostels looks great, but I didn’t take it since I had already done these activities previously. Cons: The common area next to the dorm & the shared bathroom were dirty (I was glad to have my flip flop to take my shower!). The shower handle was broken and the drain was blocked (again, I was glad to wear flip flop!). The toilet is separated from the shower, but there is no hook in the toilet, where is also the sink, so you have to hold your towel while washing your face or hands. The room I had was tiny (not super clean neither) with only 4 hooks on the door for 4 ppl. No place to put our stuff, and almost no outlets close to the bed (one was used for the A/C and the other one by the girl on the lower bed). Little shelves would have been great next to the bed to put little things during the night as cell phone and water bottle, mostly when you are on the upper bed. Overall it was ok for my needs (2 nights), but I don’t see the interest to stay longer than that in Waikiki when there is better place to stay in Honolulu. Also, don’t rent a car if you are in Waikiki, searching for a parking spot is a nightmare in the area, you are better to use the public transport.

I'd come back here
I got the single double room. It was really basic. Literally a bed, table and a chair. The AC was next to the bed and was loud but didn't really need it on. I was on the quieter side of the building across from the main building. It was nice because it was two other rooms within the room that I was in. The shower is extremely small. Towels are not provided. The kitchen was not stocked at all. There were barely any plates, bowls, forks or spoon. I couldn't find a single cup. I couldn't cook anything even if I wanted to. Staff are super friendly and very personable. They offer amazing tours each day for $30. Parking was ok. Couldn't park in front of my building in the day because they rent it out to a moped person. That sucked because I paid for parking and can't park.
