Pros: Staff was nice, the place was quiet at night and it was close of public transport and many restaurants. Good free coffee in the morning!
On my last day I appreciate to be able to leave my luggage during the whole day and to use the shower (the shower on the roof was clean).
Tours organized by the hostels looks great, but I didn’t take it since I had already done these activities previously.
Cons: The common area next to the dorm & the shared bathroom were dirty (I was glad to have my flip flop to take my shower!).
The shower handle was broken and the drain was blocked (again, I was glad to wear flip flop!). The toilet is separated from the shower, but there is no hook in the toilet, where is also the sink, so you have to hold your towel while washing your face or hands.
The room I had was tiny (not super clean neither) with only 4 hooks on the door for 4 ppl. No place to put our stuff, and almost no outlets close to the bed (one was used for the A/C and the other one by the girl on the lower bed). Little shelves would have been great next to the bed to put little things during the night as cell phone and water bottle, mostly when you are on the upper bed.
Overall it was ok for my needs (2 nights), but I don’t see the interest to stay longer than that in Waikiki when there is better place to stay in Honolulu. Also, don’t rent a car if you are in Waikiki, searching for a parking spot is a nightmare in the area, you are better to use the public transport.
