“Great cozy boutique hotel”
Perfect location between Grand Central Station and Times Square with two major subway lines within two blocks at both Grand Central and Bryant Park. Room was small and well planned with high end fixtures. The bathroom was literally in a closet with a toilet and a normal sized shower. Anyone with weight issues may want to pay extra for a bigger room. Staff was friendly, prompt and helpful.
“Perfect Times Square area luxury hotel!”
Absolutely beautiful hotel in an excellent location near Times Square. The Mansfield is an old 13 story building that has been refurbished and extremely well decorated. Rooms, hallways and elevators are small but full of personality. I would much rather stay in a small, clean and beautiful room than a ugly larger one. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Free wifi worked great for us. We were upgraded for free to the Penthouse, which was an extra treat! Comfortable bed, dark wood floors, and an exquisitely decorated bathroom. Highly recommended if you can afford it!
“Definitely would recommend it!”
I found the hotel and staff very warm and welcoming. Great location. The lighting could be improved in the seating area of the room to allow for reading.
“Good Location”
Located on 44 St w. between 5th and 6th Avenues. Comfortable rooms, good cold breakfast, helpful staff.
“Wonderful hotel”
Was a terrific hotel. Well located, within walking distance of everything. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Room was small (it is New York) but clean and well cared for.
“Great Location, well appointed room, helpful desk staff”
We had a great stay. The location is 1/2 a block off of 5th Avenue, so if you are a shopper, you will be in heaven. The desk staff was really helpful with maps and suggestions for restaurants, nail salons, and subway routes. The room was very nice and decently large for a midtown hotel. The business center is accessible and the bar is quite nice. We did not know there is a free continental breakfast and free cappacinos 24/7; these were quite nice. The only negatives were relative minor- the room lighting is somewhat dim, the closet is small and not full length, the housekeeping staff did not replace all of our towels the second day so we had to request more and tip. But I would definitely stay at the Manfield again.
“style in Manhattan”
Stylish hotel with friendly helpful staff and excellent lounge. Room was clean, very comfortable, but on the small side. Biggest problem was very little external light as window looked out onto a wall. Apart from that, a lovely hotel in a great location.
“Pleasant Stay”
Pleasant stay, firndly staff, very accomodating as I showed up prior to check in and they held my bags so I could wander the streets of Manhattan and Central Park.
“cozy and comfortable”
I was expecting a late check in, but then my flight was cancelled and it caused me to show up to the hotel early in the day, at 11 a.m. I was tired from traveling all night with very little sleep and needed to change my clothes and go straight to a convention. The hotel was more than kind and said they would put me in a slightly smaller room. Yes, the rooms are small, but the space is used wisely and I felt all tucked in and comfy. Bed was so comfortable, I slept soundly. Lots of pillows with some soft, some firmer. The room was quiet so I did not hear other guests. I also enjoyed the coffee, it was excellent! The staff is lovely and looking for ways to make a guest's stay better. I will return here at my next opportunity. I only wished I could have spent a little more time in my room, I really loved it!
“Excellent place to stay”
Thye size of the room (for New York) was generous and very comfortable, bathroom was roomie and the shower hot with excellent water pressure, service was excellent. The only fault I could find was with breakfast. It (included with the room) was low-end continental offerings (toast, bagels, boxed cereals). The addition of fresh fruit and yoghurt was appreciated. The location of this hotel is great. Close to Times Square, Ave. of the Americas and Central Park.
