“Great location, good hotel”

The Milford Plaza is a great New york hotel, ideally located near Times Square and the subway. It is just what you want from a New York hotel, clean, safe, secure and near all the action. Even the lifts are great! You show your key card to the security, tap in your floor and get directed to your own personal lift! The one problem we did have with teh room, a blocked bath got fixed straight away. The room itself had a double bed, TV, writing desk, bath and cupboard, plenty of space for somewhere we were just using to sleep and wash. The walls may be a bit on the thin side, either that or we had a deaf man in the room next door who woke us up with his TV one morning. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay, and by the sounds of the continental breakfast I wouldn't bother as there are plenty of places nearby. Enjoy your stay!

We have stayed at the Milford Plaza several times. It is always clean, the service is fantastic, the security is wonderful, the location convenient and the elevators are fast!!

“Clean, safe, and right in the middle of things!”

This was my second stay at the Milford Plaza and I was very satisfied with this low-priced gem. No, it's not fancy but it's clean and bug-free. In my single room, I had a very comfortable queen-sized bed, an armoire, an in-room safe, a two-drawer dresser, an entire wall of mirrors, an iron and ironing board, and a TV with full cable (including the Yankees on YES). The bathroom had lots of clean towels - so what if some of them didn't match and the faucets were a little rusty - and a full-size tub and shower with plenty of hot water. There were free little soaps, shampoos, and lotions and shower caps, too. The security was excellent - you had to show your room key to even get into the elevator bay - and the security desk was staffed day and night with two burly guards. The elevators have no floor buttons in them - you press your floor on the key pad on the wall outside and you are told which elevator to take - so you can't go to any other floor other than the one where your room is located. (And no no-guests can roam the halls either.) The ice machine was just a few yards from my room and along 8th Avenue, you can buy your juice, bananas, danish and milk the night before when you come home and have breakfast in bed! The subway's across the street and did I mention that the Milford Plaza is a five minute walk from virtually every Broadway show? Stay here and save your money to see "Phantom" and "Jersey Boys" again!

“Excellent location; very convenient”

My friend and I stayed at Milford for 2 nights. We were in NYC for sightseeing purposes. The hotel has an excellent location and comfortable beds. The room was clean. The elevator system works perfectly; they have an automatic system so that you don't have to wait for a long time despite there are many floors in the building. Very helpful staff. Will definitely go there again.

“quite happy with this hotel”

This hotel had the most comfortable bed everyday the room was cleaned didnt always need to be but no matter what time i went out whether early or late it was cleaned. The air conditioner was a little nosey but it seems to get me to sleep. Didnt really like how inconsiderate other hotel guests where seemed to slam their doors someonetimes late at night. For a single woman travelling alone i felt very safe security always checked everyone as the went to there rooms. It was great how close the hotel was to everything. Broadways shows, times square etc etc Most hotels ive stayed at have had coffee machines in the room which i missed... I would definately stay at this hotel again.

“Good choice!”

We chose to stay at the Milford based on the location and the price. We were very satisfied. The room is small but for the price I really don't think we could have done any better. The location is perfect!!! My goal was to stay close to the theaters so we wouldn't have far to walk after a night broadway show and that's exactly what we got!

“Great location”

Security was great, rooms small but well arranged for an older building, if all you plan to do is sleep there the room is fantastic--however too small to share with children. Staff very accomodating.

This hotel is in a fantastic location with many sights and attractions ithin walking distance. All the hotel staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would definately stay there again!

Great hotel, just starting to go through a modernisation, if you are going to NY, you can not ask for a better, more central location, the Milford Plaza offers great accomodation and great service, I would highly recommend upgrading to a Milford Club room if you can, well worth the bit extra. Friendly colleagues await you at the hotel along with a professional service. Slap bang in the middle of Broadway, Restaurants and obviously Times Square, also convenient for the bus station. Had an amazing time, and will return to NY and the Milford Plaza, thanks Expedia.

Well located a few blocks from Penn Station on 8th Ave and 44th Street, The Milford Plaza is a relative bargain for NYC hotels in Midtown. All expected amenities are there - wireless Internet, clean comfortable rooms, curteous service, great value and only a short walk to the theatre district.
