I had a great stay at Hilton Garden Inn New York/Manhattan-Midtown East. The location was excellent — close to subway stations, restaurants, and many Manhattan attractions, making it very convenient to get around the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for New York. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, and check-in/check-out was smooth. The hotel felt safe, well-maintained, and offered good value for the area. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to NYC.
Staff were great but elevator was broken so hard to get to an upper floor when lots of young groups used the hotel as a base. This is not up to the usual Hilton standards unfortunately.
The property is being refurbished, but that didn’t impact the stay. It was an amazing room, large for NYC and clean. The staff was very friendly and the location is great.
I like the location near to subway! The hotel is under renovation so dusty and only one elevator works most of the time. Be ready to use stairway or wait long for the elevator.

Staff was extremely helpful and nice/friendly. Unfortunately, the building was under construction when we visited, so they only had one elevator operating for guests until 5pm everyday. This made it very difficult to get to our floor, often waiting almost 10 minutes just to get on the elevator. Room was clean.
The location was excellent and the room was nice and clean. The building itself, however, was under complete renovations, amenities including the restaurant were closed, one only working elevator and construction noise was all over the place. Guests needed to be informed at the time of reservation.
The spacious rooms were spotless, and the staff was incredibly courteous. They even accommodated my rooms on the same floor without prior notice. Although the hotel was under renovation, they still offered a delicious breakfast every morning, featuring bagels, cream cheese, granola bars, and juice.
Breakfast was a cold sack lunch due to no kitchen facilities while under construction. Slow elevator when construction crews were working. Pleasant staff despite the constraints.
With the physical limitations, charging for small bottles of water seemed inconsiderate.
I was overall disappointed in this stay. The rooms were clean and staff was nice however the hotel is under construction which we were not made aware of until we physically saw the construction ourselves. There was only one working elevator for the entire hotel so at times the wait time was prolonged. Overall, wasn’t a huge impact on our stay but still would have been nice to know.
Courteous staff, nice clean room, excellent location. They are going through renovations so restaurant was closed.

We were unaware that the lobby was undergoing reconstruction which affected an elevator usage and the continental breakfast. Wish we would have known. The staff tried to accommodate but we may have chosen elsewhere. Location was great though.
