“2 night stay”

Takes about 40 minutes or so to get into central Melbourne by public transport - 15 minute walk to the train station and then 25-30 minute journey. Otherwise v.pleasant setting next to the beach and esplanade walk and the area of Brighton is v.nice as well.

“Great Customer Service”

The hotel upgraded me to a superior room for free since I was staying for 12 days. Really friendly and helpful staff. Daily room cleaning when I went away. After i joined the priority guest program my internet bill was half. Really great if you come for a holiday or a romantic getaway since it's close to the beach

“Everything we expected and wanted.”

Everything was great except all the crockery/coffee supplies/kitchen goods were set up for 2 people and there were 4 of us. Everything else was great. It was very clean, modern, llight, spacious and exactly what we wanted. Very reasonably priced too. Across the road from the beach and only 10 minutes from St. Kilda.

“Clean, modern apartment, would definitely stay again”

We needed last minute accommodation for 2 nights in Melbourne so decided to stay around brighton, st kilda near relatives. The Quest looked nice so we booked. Worth noting that the price quoted on expedia was only for 2 adults so when we arrived we had to pay extra for child per night for our 2 young children, along with extra for underground secure parking. As the additional cost for our children was unexpected the receptionist kindly reduced the price slightly. As there were 4 of us we stayed in the executive suite which had plenty of space for 2 rollaway beds for the kids (not the cheap foldup beds, they were good solid beds with comfortable mattresses). Our king bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious, modern and very clean with very small kitchen type area. Extra towels, soap, shampoo etc were automatically provided and replenished for the 4 of us, often you have to beg for the extras. All in all great, modern, clean apartment, would definitely stay again.

“Quest Hotel not quite up to par”

We had a standard studio room that the description made sound much larger than it really was. In fact, it was a standard size hotel room with a mini fridge and a stove top. Admittedly, the addition of a toaster was a nice touch. The hotel is at the corner of a residential neighborhood with nothing really close in terms of dining (except on-site) or shopping. The nearest grocery is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to Church Street, the main business district of Brighton. The staff was merely helpful in calling a taxi. Otherwise, they were not of much use. I offered to pay for toothpaste, and they had none on site and suggested I walk to the aforementoned grocery. A sign at the front desk advertises a noon checkout for extra and 2 pm late checkout for more (standard checkout is 10 am). I inquired at check-in and was told it was not a problem, just to call and let them know. I called the front desk at 8 am the morning of checkout to try and extend to noon and was told that they could not accomodate because my room had been tagged for an early (12 pm) arrival. To add insult to injury, the front desk at checkout clearly waited on a guest who admitted he was behind me in line, and made no apology for it. There are likely better hotels for your money in St. Kilda and even in Brighton.
