“Who designed the rooms?”
No emotions.. point blank. My room had a desk to work from, but there are no powerpoints. I asked how I should charge my laptop and was advised that there was a powerpoint in the bathroom! There was no soap. An ironing board was there, but no Iron. Had to wait 30mins for the Iron.
“Quality hotel on a budget”
Location reasonable for the price- most places are walking distance, if not you can hop on a tram. Really surprised and please by the hotel room itself, it was clean and comfortable. Would recommend for a weekend away on a budget
“Good Location, modern facilities”
Very convenient location opposite to the Southern Cross station and few meters from the free city loop tram stop. The on site parking is also very convenient with a very fair rate, $15 per night. The rooms seem to be recently renovated they look pretty good. The only drawback is the cleanliness of the rooms, It could be so much better. Our room was even a bit smelly. Not very welcoming odorous after a long day of sightseeing.
“Handy”
Atlantis is a good clean hotel with parking, breakfast and is across (spencer) street from airport bus and major rail station (including regional/interstate), and a tram ride to free day parking at Crown casino
“convenient location, clean and spacious accommodation”
This relatively new hotel is in an excellent location for getting into the city by train or Skybus and and around town by train or tram. Didnt try the services or breakfast but the hotel was clean and with a spacious room for the price. It is a little way off from the major attractions and restaurants but public transport options are good and it was relatively quiet on the street. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Bathroom was small but adequate. An interesting view of the docklands stadium and beyond from my high floor room, without being particularly attractive. Will stay there again.
“Convenient and reasonably priced”
First time i tried Best Western. surprisingly impressed with the condition and location of the hotel.
“Clean and Simple”
Atlantis hotel rooms are quite simple. We stayed in a a Grandview room which looked over the roof of the DFO (now Spencer Street) and to Etihad Stadium. The rooms are adequate but don't have character and only a double bed. The bathroom was also small but nice with a lovely shower that took up half the room. Located right up the end of Spencer Street on the corner of Lonsdale, the hotel is a bit of walk from most things in the cbd or South Bank but still a convenient location. Very close to Etihad Stadium, the Docklands and the DFO. I would stay there again but for a romantic weekend would probably find something a little more special.
“Good value, basic hotel”
Stayed for 2 nights while on a quick trip to the city. Very handy location across the road from Southern Cross Station. Good price for what it is - nothing luxurious, but just what we needed - convenient, comfortable and clean. Lovely staff, very helpful. Let us have late checkout for no extra charge. Only complaint is that the pool and surrounding rooms STUNK. Would stay again.
“Cheap but not cheerful”
After a 10.5 hour drive from Sydney (the last hour in a nasty storm), all my partner and I wanted to do was relax in our room before heading out for dinner. Our 5th floor room key did not work, and after two elevator trips to the concierge, we still had no success. Both times the female employee didn't even apologise for the inconvenience. On the third trip back to concierge, a male employee accompanied me to our room, and third time lucky, we were able to get in. The room was tidy and clean but one of the bedside table lamps did not work, and a wire was sticking out from a hole in the ceiling where a halogen lamp should have been. As a result, there was not enough light in the room when we needed it. The shower could do with a shelf for toiletries, as only a soap holder is available. One would have thought that drinking glasses for water would be standard in any hotel, but not in this one. One of the two elevators was out of order for the 48 hours we stayed, and the hotel is located in the "blah" end of town. The seats in the lobby are impossible to sit in as they have no back support - I guess they don't want guests loitering there too long. My partner and I would not stay there again, even if someone else was paying.
“Very good value!”
Good, clean, friendly, and exceptional good value for money
