“"cant wait to go back"”
Great service!all it needed Was to have free internet service and it will be the Best airport hotel in Madrid .
“Worst hotel ever”
Nothing positive ca be said about this hotel. Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Holiday Inn should be ashamed of themselves for keeping this place open.
“Holiday Inn in Madrid horrible”
poor service, far a way from civilization, unhelpful, rude and a lack of friendliness.
“To high transportation cost.”
Hotel did not provide pickup at airport. It cost me over $50.00 in cab fare and we were 10 minutes away from the airport.
“close to airport, hard to find”
The hotel is new and clean, very close to airport, however if you drive by car it is very difficult to find and even the airport taxi drivers do not know where it is located. Moreover, is surrounded by some deserted dark neighborhood full of construction, when I left my car to ask something at teh reception, four thieves approached teh car from nowhere and tried to loot it.
“value for money”
if you have a early flight or arrive late, this is a great way to sleep cheap in a good bed. For the rest, it's a no frills hotel. Hotel ONLY recommended if you need/want to be nearby the airport. Not recommended for tourists willing to visit Madrid... However, the hotel is located at a 10 min DRIVE from the airport. You can NOT walk to the airport.
“good hotel, reasonable price”
The hotel was clean, breakfast was ok, We had some dificulty to find it as we did not know Av Aragon was the same as America.
“Bad experience; wouln't recommend to anyone.”
There was no air flow; the heat was on and the air conditioning was turned off "for the season". The hotel is right on the highway so when you open a window there is unrelenting noise from the traffic. The mattress was "board like". The rug in our room had stains. A very uncomfortable situation. It's not that we want things "americanized", we usually stay in smaller, european style hotels. They told us to get a taxi the next moring we would need to pay an "extra" fee. There were no restaurants, coffee houses etc. without taking a taxi, which we didn't want to pay the fee they required. We had to walk about six long blocks without any lighting, then cross an elevated bridge over the highway and walk through an unlighted parking lot to get anything to eat or drink.
“Lacking”
The hotel is fairly new in a neighborhood that needs a lot of sprucing up. The hotel is touted as an airport hotel, but is not really close to the airport, and has no shuttle service. It is not within walking distance to any restaurants and has no kitchen. The only food service is brought from a "local" restaurant. Very disappointing from HIE's usual high standards. To be fair, there are no hotels very close to the Madrid airport, but this hotel needs to provide shuttle service. It's a ;long walk to the nearest bus stop.
“Stay away from this Holiday Inn”
Only one staff member during the night at the hotel. Asked for additional pillows, she could not bring them. Had to go downstairs to get them myself. Carpets in hallways were dirty and run down. Hotel is difficult to find and in a nearly deserted neighborhood.
