"Areca Hotel was delightful, full of character, so much nicer than the high rise hotels we have been staying in so far on this trip. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, not only with a welcome drink, but an invitation to afternoon tea each afternoon of our stay. The room was small, but adequate and freshened every day inclcluding clean towels etc."

"We loved staying at The Blue Mansions. After spending a few days walking the streets of George Town, it was a pleasure to come back each day. The building and interior are stunning, and the service provided by the staff is first-class. It was a real treat to have our own Jacuzzi bath and to step outside with access to the pool. Had this hotel been anywhere else in the world, i am sure we would be paying triple the price, which is well outside of our range. We stayed in the 50's room with our 13-year-old; we had ample space, plenty of wardrobe space, and loved the private garden access at the back. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly and looking after us."
