It’s one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed at. It reminds us the colonial era yet the facilities are modern. The staff are friendly and always available to help. There are lots of food choices within a 5-10 walk from the hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

The rooms were large with a separate office / luggage area. Classic building in great condition. Staff was excellent. And easy to get to a variety of locations in the city. Definitely would stay here again.

A gem of a hotel! The staff were super helpful, the building in a colonial style - no concrete in sight. The common areas were peaceful and the extras much appreciated. Wonderful place.

We loved our stay at Areca, we had a room on the ground floor and it was sheer luxury, spacious, beautiful tiles on the floor, high ceiling, lovely period furniture, fans and air conditioner and a shower that was truly magnificent. We loved the afternoon teas and all the delights that were served. Your staff are extremely polite and courteous. We stayed for a week and would be happy to return. Thank you Areca.

Amazing hotel, would recommend. You get breakfast and a cute afternoon tea included. Rooms have an ac and a fan. Amazing breakfast choices and on the weekend a buffet breakfast. Laundry service available too. The guy who does breakfast (I can’t remember his name fully but it begins with a Y) is amazing.

Beautiful hotel with great helpful staff. Room was clean and lovely. Got afternoon tea, Barnstaple coffee and some laundry for free because of long stay. Close to everything but not in most touristy areas so close to local and tourist areas, markets, restaurants, shopping malls, etc.
