“very comfortable hotel”

Most of the staff spoke pretty good English and were very helpful. The hotel itself was comfortable--rooms were nice and seemed quite clean. It was nice to have a computer with internet available in the lobby at no charge.

“we will go there again”

A great little hotel in a great location. Friendly staff and no fuss service. 2 small negatives were; 1 the aircon did not have a speed control and was a little noisy and 2; for anyone with bad knees the step down from the shower was quite high. Otherwise great value for money and we will go there again

“Great location within walking distance to the Blue Mosque and great restaurants”

Great hotel for the price and in the best location for sightseeing and also the tram. We had a great reception staff,especially Ishmael and Kadir. Good buffet breakfast that was definitley Turkish which we enjoyed. Lots of joghurt,dried fruits and nuts,cheeses,meats,hot egg dishes etc with good coffee. We stayed there for 8 days and found that that the breakfast though could have been changed slightly and the music in the breakfast room toned down a bit as we didn;t really appreciate the musc videos blaring out loud most mornings.

The staff picked me up at the airport at 1 in the morning and had everything taken care of for the perfect spring break. Friendly and accomodating. I will be back!

“Very comfortable hotel”

Hotel was very clean and comfortable, the staff are extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to help. The Hotel is really well placed in Istanbul for sightseeing but Sultanahmet is quite a distance from Sabiha Gocek airport and public transport to the hotel is quite difficult, so ask the Hotel to organise a private transfer from the Airport (about 25 Euro's per person each way). Plenty of Restaurants very close to the hotel along with a few bars all reasonably priced.

“Perfect location”

We were a 7 min walk to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Close to wonderful neighborhood cafes and enjoyed the view of the Marmara Sea from the roof of the hotel. I really apprecitated the professional, helpful staff. Good breakfast of fruit, cereal, pastries, eggs and Turkish coffee. I enjoyed the ambiance of the neighborhood and was amazed at the bus drivers on the narrow cobbled streets. I loved Istanbul, it is an amazing city . I would lke to go back and I would stay at Amiral Palace again

“any time they wanted 2 clean our room!”

The hotel is very comfortable and agreeable, location - is good, just few min 2 Blue mosque and other attraction. But we never seen breakfast - because we past all nights in nightclubs and pubs with nice music. And after in the morning sins 9 am till 15 pm was happening the most interesting: Stuff from hotel was calling 3-5-6 times and was trying 2 clean our room - even if i ask - pls no more cleaning for today and don't disturb us any more - another one Stuff was calling and ask if we need this one!!!!

“Well placed comfotrable hotel”

This is a lovely hotel ideally placed for all the historic sites in Istanbul and a stones throw from the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia. Friendly staff and lovely breakfasts outside in the garden. Bar on roof quite pricey for drinks but worth it for the great view. Our larger room only had a hip bath and fixed shower but there was great water pressure and lots of hot water at all times, essential after a days sightseeing We would definitely go back to the Amiral when in Istanbul.

“Great little hotel near all the main sites”

This hotel has plenty of character and charm - and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. It doesn't have a huge number of facilities, but if you're looking for somewhere simple and comfortable to crash at the end of a long day wandering the streets then this will do very well. The roof terrace overlooking the sea is particularly pleasant. Our room bordered the hotel/restaurant next door and it did get a bit noisy at the weekend. Also don't be surprised by the yowling of the many Saltanahmet cats or being woken by the children singing the national athem at the school down the road. The noise didn't bother us but if you value silence then perhaps not the best place. The surrounding area has lots of good restaurants (if very touristy)and the Haghia Sofia and the Blue Mosque are only five minutes walk away. The tram is also very close which will take you down to the ferries or across the Golden Horn in under ten minutes. Would definately go back again.

“Cozy but average in every way”

The area is just swamped with so many little hotels, I would say this one is about average (or a little better), it was a generally pleasant stay and I was only irritated by being just on the edge of WiFi coverage in my room. Food selection was okay every morning, staff were friendly and polite. Just be aware entrance is on a steep hill. Best part was the reception staff who just seemed to try harder and harder to help me with every question. They really made it possible for me to find out about everything I needed. While I was there the first and second floor was being redecorated, this never disturbed me, but shows that the hotel is still improving itself.
