“Paradise”

The hotel staff were so friendly and welcoming, you could not help but relax. The gardens are well mainatained and give a sensation of space and tranquility. We loved the fact that there were activities organised, so that if you felt like being active there was much to do. We stayed in a Palace Club Room which has afternoon tea, evening canapes and cocktails included. This was also a lovely way to meet other guests and chat in the evenings. We were made to feel special and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The bathroom was a little tricky as the shower door did not have enough space to open when the bath mat was in front of it which can make the floor wet but as this is our only complaint we feel blessed to have stayed here.

Area recommendations

We did not leave the hotel for too much while we were staying but we did visit Bali Collection several times.They have some great restaurants and there are many shopping options.

Getting around

There is a shuttle bus that runs every hour from the hotel to Bali Collection and back. If you book at some of the reataurants they will pick you up and organise transport home.The Blue Bird Taxis are metered Taxis so are the best option if going to Kuta or to the airport.

“Nice place, but make sure to get a good room type.”

We boked a Premier room, but up on arrival we were given Deluxe room. We clearly remembered that our room was suppose to have a bathtub, so we complained and immediately were given a good room. Apart form that little accident everything was great. Beach was quite nice, what was difficult to find in Bali in fact. All area is isolated from the city , even though it's not far. It easy to access other luxury hotels from the beach. They may be better a bit, but the price is also double. I would definitely call it good value for the money.

“Another great holiday”

This is our favourite hotel in Bali and we have stayed there approximately 20 times so this can speak for itself. This hotel is now completing big renovations which are hardly creating any inconvenience to guests as the hotel has 3 wings and they are spread far apart. Renovated rooms are very comfortable with all the modern fittings and we think in many cases they went overboard with replacing almost everything when it wasn’t need to. Like those beautiful old chairs, tables, lamps, bathroom fittings and sun-beds. We’ll see how long they will last.... But new electrical wiring, new air conditioners, TV & phones are great and working well. In their reviews other guests often report that Nusa Dua is lacking Balinese vibe, but we strongly disagree with them. Nusa Dua as elsewhere has predominately been occupied by locals, and all the hotels employ local people and wherever you stay with their wonderful smile and great attitude always make Bali so special. As we had such fond memories of our holiday we would like to take the opportunity to express our gratitude to everyone in Nusa Dua beach Hotel for such professional & efficient services on every level. At the same time to all Balinese working in different places for making us feel so special. They are the special people and hopefully their culture will stay intact.

Nusa Dua Clean, fresh & quiet, plus nice beach. Great hotels &nice walking pats for miles.

Few bottles of alcohol as they import tariffs make it very expensive Plus some stomach medications just in case....

“Can't wait to go back”

The Hotel is located in the best place of nusa dua resorts area. Following the world trend, resorts (SPA) hotels are too much expensive than normal ones. However, Nusa Dua has a great SERVICE and resonable prices. Everything is prepared carefully and people who works there are really polite. So, as the title clear say, I can't wait to go back and relax on Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. Have a nice trip !

Area recommendations

Uluwatu, Kuta, Ubud, Jinbarang, Padang Padang beach are the best places for visiting.

“Very nice”

My boyfriend and I splurged on this hotel when we were planning our trip to Bali, and it was well worth it! We spent our first two days relaxing by the beautiful pools, swim-up bar, and beach. It was a great way to get over our jet-lag! We also saw a great traditional Balinese dance at the hotel that they put on every Sunday. Our room was great and hotel service very prompt when we needed champagne glasses with cooler and ice. Overall, it was very nice pampering :)

Area recommendations

It's not really "in the neighborhood", but our trip to the Gili islands was the best place we went in Indonesia. It was so peaceful.

“Will Definitely go Back”

After 11 trips to Bali, our first stay in Nusa Dua - and consequently, the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. Absolutely loved the hotel and surrounding area. Pure bliss. Will always stay at this hotel when returning to Nusa Dua.

Also recommend Sanur. Good restaurants and fabulous location.

“Second time and looking forward to going back for a third!”

The staff here are so friendly and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. The restaurants are of the highest quality and I strongly recommend the Asian Bistro and the traditional Balinese restaurant. The breakfast area is a relaxing area and the food selection will satisfy a wide variety of needs. The pool area is just amazing and the spa is relaxing and tranquil. The pool bar became a faviourite location as did the fitness area and the daily activities. The shuttle bus to Bali Collection runs every hour but is also a short walk from the hotel. I stayed in the traditional Balinese room and next time will probablly stay in a more expensive room as I was occassionally woken up by gheckos scratching on the roof! However, the room was always clean and well equipt and I always had a good nights sleep. Strongly recommend this hotel.

Hand santiser, insect repellant, suncream, a cardigan/light jumper for the evenings (can get a little chilly if your used to Perth climate!), stomach upset tablets (ie. De Gas), beach side clothing

“Nusa Dua Hotel - simply the best”

Couldn't fault this hotel. At every turn were beautiful features. I loved the Nusa Dua area, quiet, clean, beautifully maintained. The Bali Collection - a piazza style shopping and eating area nearby with free shuttle bus every hour to all the hotels in the area was great. Beach lovely, pools lovely. The Spa area had everything - squash, tennis, great gym, tranquil lap pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi. If this was the only pool, it would have been perfectly acceptable. Best hotel I have stayed in.

When to go

We visited early May. Still a little cloudy in the afternoon and very humid. Apparently, the weather cools to a comfortable 25 degrees in June July August with lessened humidity.

Getting around

Don't hire a car - roads too busy and no signs. Rather opt for driven option. We always took twice as long driving ourselves than the local drivers.

Must see

Rock Bar at the Ayana Hotel - must be best bar in the world. Go for sunset! See the temple at Uliwatu - amazing monkeys and views.

Shopping

Avoid Kuta except for Discovery Mall. Boutique shopping best in Seminyak but expensive by SA standards. Buy fine etchings from Ubud artists villages. Overall, not a shopping destination.

Dining

Not cheap to eat out like Thailand . Recommend Jimbaran for fresh sea food on the beach. Best bar in the world is The Rock Bar at the Ayana Hotel near Jimbaran. Senimyak has some good restaurants - recommend Bali Cafe there.

“Rememberable”

It was overally good, the only problem was noises caused by renovation whilst I was there. Most of the staff were nice.

Please use anti-sun for sun bathing. I didn't observe that so I got annoyed a lot.
