"Room was clean but located right across from the elevator 2nd floor. Hotel was not sold out. Not sure why we were given this room. Top bedcover was dirty. Removed & place on a chair. Bed was comfortable but they need to replace the pillows, Front desk was handled by one person. We waited 20 minutes to check in. They need additional staffing. Breakfast was available from 6:30-9:00. Food was Ok. No staffing in that area. We cleaned our table prior to sitting down. Staff that was handling the Front Desk was also handling the breakfast area. Hotel was clean, parking was good, rooms could be updated."

"It's the kind of place where a certain element stays to "lay low", if you catch my drift. There's plexiglass above the front desk, like the tellers' counter in a bank. People are hanging around the parking lot day and night, and some cars pull in briefly to visit those people and then leave. Some of the loiterers will check out your car even though you're not far away; they may even approach you without an obvious reason and--when acknowledged--pretend to be in need of a light for their smoke... You might get a room that wasn't made up after the last guest checked out. When you go back to the front desk, you might get another room that won't open. Your third room might have a broken microwave and a door that doesn't actually conceal you from the hallway outside. You may witness a drunk man stumble inside from the parking lot on the verge of falling over. There may be clumps of mud and a brown, sticky substance on the elevator and lobby floor. And maybe, just maybe, you'll wish you spent more at the place down the street... Or maybe you'll just avoid the area altogether."

"Stay was nothing special. Where my concern and complaint is (for both HI and Hotels.com) refers to a request to cx my stay early due to a sudden death of my mother. I had requested a credit of two days at the hotel and they deferred me to Hotels.com --- Hotels.com 'investigated' and they deferred the decision back to the hotel. ULTIMATLY the answer was NO by both! VERY unsatisfied customer at this point!"

"This is in a great spot to walk around the town center. The hotel is in the midst of a huge renovation project…the lobby was torn apart, including the breakfast area. There was still a simple breakfast offered. The real reason for my lower than 5 rating is truly because of the work throughout the property. I dare say that the property will be beautiful when this project is completed."
