Some of the staff were rude. It seemed very chaotic. My city view room was a brick wall. For a creative arts hotel it was more like a black and white prison. I was horribly disappointed in this hotel and will never stay there again. Felt like it was a waste of money.

This is my go-to place to stay in NYC. Not in a terribly touristy area. Really interesting neighborhood. Great staff and room. The TV sucked, but who cares?

Very small bar and public area. The rooms were ok but no comfortable chairs to sit. Only like a kitchen table and dining type chairs. It Had a kitchenette type built in with plates and cups and even silverware but we were not planning on having a dinner party !?…. AND two very disappointing things. (1) the bathroom was too small and no vanity to use to get ready—you needed to put your toiletries on the closed toilet lid due to no vanity; just a sink. Also, the only full length mirror was on the INSIDE of the bathroom door, so you had to be IN the bathroom and close the door to check your fit. Basically only one person could get ready at a time. And (2) the rooftop restaurant and bar were CLOSED for remodeling!!! And we were not made aware of that when we booked. No good.
