Bohai Region Kid friendly Holidays

We spent six days at the hotel in August and were very happy. The decor in the room was a bit outdated but absolutely fine and the AC worked well. The room was large and comfortable for two people, and the breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff were very friendly. Not everyone spoke that much English but there were enough who did so it was not a problem. The location was the main highlight for us, as the hotel is just by the main shopping street with multiple department stores, and also easily walkable to the Forbidden City. We would definitely stay there again.

it is a design property in the downtown centre, which is convenient. However, the signage, in particular inside the room is terrible. It takes time to work out what button is for what. It is not internationally standardised but a uniquely designed and developed most likely by the hotel. And that is the problem. Guests tend to be tired after flight and just want to settle in and relax. Yet, it takes ages to work out how the buttons work and are responsible for what, which can be frustrating. While the staff are helpful, if guests seek assistance, but who want to call the staff to seek assistance if you can self-work out?
